The thing you take from last night is down by 3 goals they didn't pack the tents like they did on the latest road trip when they got behind. Also, 4 out of 6 points against Wash, TB, Bos is a good result. - PLindbergh31
FWIW I really enjoy talking hockey with this version of you.
Last night was about as far from flawless as you can get but that being said as a fan it was damn fun to watch.
Unless two hundred foot hockey is your thing then it probably sucked. |

Turning point in the season? - bulet13
Hardly. Puck luck was on their side last night.

Yeah they didn't play great by any means, but the bottom line is they got two points. Watching Marchand whiff last night was incredible. He's a great player, but he's such an unlikable POS. |

I think this move is going to be emulated by other NHL players in the shootout moving forward. - MJL
If they're smart they will. |

Oh I hope so. First Tavares, now Marchand...if Hart can collect a few more, it’s going to make the best highlights film. Gold!

I must be watching a different player named Provorov when he is skating up the ice with the puck. - opeth_pa
Especially in Montreal game. |

Just read Lebrun is reporting Galchenyuk can be had for "a draft pick or bottom 6 forward." Has he been that bad for Pitt? |

How do I report an account that's been hacked? |

It's a very technically difficult move, so not everyone will have sufficient skills for it. |

I'm still waiting for somebody to shoot the puck towards their own net, have it ricochet off the crossbar, and sneak under the unsuspecting goalie as it slowly slides down the ice.
Can't believe no one has tried this move yet. |

If there are no penalties in the shootout, what if you slowly slide the puck towards the goalie with enough momentum to get into the net, then race to the goalie, pull him out of the net and beat the ever-loving poop out of him? Would that work? |

It would unless you were shooting on someone like Ray Emery (RIP). |

Friedman and Hagg have been getting crushed out there
I'm not really sure if theres any way around the problem other than try to limit their minutes as much as possible. On the road though they will get eaten alive by matchups |

That's certainly true but turning points can come from many causes |

I hope so, even as my gut response to your questions was, "When's the next road game?" |

What if a teammate comes off the bench and sets up a screen on the goalie? |

Hes been very bad and I doubt he gets traded to us anyways
We would need to clear up cap space anyways and who do you send back |

Need to include Myers on that list. Myers has been worse than Haag by far.

I don't want to trade for him and as you mentioned, tough to fit that cap in any way. Just was shocked to read that low cost. Former 3rd overall and soon to be on his 4th team already |

Myers has been pretty bad the last few games but hes also going against tougher opponent players than Hagg. He has to be better though no question about it. He's too prone to the egregious breakdown that leads to a goal
At least Myers adds something in the O-zone but if he can steady himself until Ghost and Braun return we may survive this yet |
