There will be when Ghost goes on LTIR.

Don't you have to be out for 10 games/24 days?

Did he elaborate on that at all? I would want to know why he thinks Patrick will play this season. What progress is being made?
- MJL

He said something like that he is skating harder but has not been cleared for contact

Basically a non-update

Do the Flyers have enough cap space to bring up a goalie?

For those who didn't get to listen.... Aside from the Patrick update, Fletcher praised Farabee. For those who have been wondering why Farabee has stayed up while Frost was demoted, Fletcher called Farabee one of the better forwards on the team with managing the puck. And that Farabee is "mentally tough"

Braun can go on LTIR. Would really wait and see. Could be something small.

Nope, doesn't count. Neither does the previous SO win in Boston because the Bruins weren't on their game for two periods.
- bmeltzer

I was gonna say getting involved in these sort of comments is beneath you but I would be wrong.

Two way play. Gotta love the kid. Not many 1 st round picks are pushing to be good p k players. But at 19 he knew. Gonna be a beast in a few when he fills out.

Frost. Kid needs time. In time I hope he is that player like briere or even plrkanec.

Yup! I love it. Fletcher also touched on Frost... said "we can't always look at short term fixes for Flyers while not considering long-term player development"

It seems unfair that it has to be both when the NHL now has nine day breaks in the middle of the season. The Flyers will have played 10 games in the first 21 days of January.

But he has an "action bias" and is going to trade all of our top prospects/picks for quick fixes to save the season.

That's not correct although it is one of the options.

There seems to be some confusion with this post. Someone who has an action bias wouldn't be trading prospects/picks for quick fixes to save the season.

It was Hextall who supposedly had the action bias.

Plenty of hockey left...

Only down a field goal...

sure sounds uber negative

- corduroy

LOL are you trying to say you weren't being sarcastic that entire post? You're still so mad they won. It's hilarious.

Guy is nothing but a clown.

Plenty of hockey left..... The periods are clearly sarcasm and when you are comparing something of larger value like a field goal to a goal, he obviously was being sarcastic.

He acts like we dont know him by his posts. He's always posting sarcastic things to be negative about people who by his count "Make excuses". Those two comments by him are the "excuses" he is mocking people with.

Now he's trying to save face

Sorry, "bias for action." My mistake.

https://www.broadstreetho...lyers-hire-chuck-fletcher

"Dave Scott said as much when he said in a recent press conference that the Flyers were looking for “bright, energetic thinkers with a bias for action”.

Use whatever term you want. Bottom line is this: Hextall was fired for not making trades. We know the new GM has a mandate. Now, trades aren't everything, but his trade history is a big deal.
