Do we know what happened to Blackwood that he has needed to miss some time ? I know he had some work on his teeth did that need more attention or is something tweaked ? I believe its listed as a ubi though.

Would love to see Boqvist and Wood swap spots for the benefit of Jack Hughes.

Be good overall for the pts to start coming for Boqvist. He looks great plays hard and can take a hit so hopefully they start going in for him and hopefully they start giving him more oppertunity.

Exactly. I like his game and he looks like a legit NHLer to me.

Also Wood-Rooney-Hayden seems like a decent grinding/energy 4th line
(ignore that Bastian and McLeod should be on it for now).

Boqvist-Hughes-Simmonds seems like they could generate some chances.

Leafs powerplay is lights out? Luckily Miles Wood has never taken a meaningless offensive zone penalty in his career.

The argument for not having the young guys up is because they'll get big minutes in the AHL instead. But at some point they have to learn to play against better competition.

Also, Boqvist forcing Rooney and Hayden into some scoring opportunities says a lot about him as a player.

Why is Hughes with Wood and Simmonds? Both are allergic to making a pass. Good luck on the grinder line bud.

For the love of all that is right in the world, Miles Wood (and Blake Coleman), don’t make the Devils the *one* team that gives Toronto power plays. They'll pay for it.

6th in the league, so pretty good. They try to be too cute at times though which can be frustrating.

Devils have a good penalty kill unit, but take a lot of stupid penalties.

Wood and Simmonds probably are the most stone handed players on the team. But he can't exactly take Nico or Zajac's spot at the moment. Down the stretch I wouldn't mind seeing Coleman Hughes Gusev just because.

I'd feel bad for Cory if we put him in and he gets lit up.. but man I'd love for him to shut them out too. I'd be ok with taking that chance.
