Big time. Careless pinches by the D that are 100% unnecessary in a 6-1 game with less than 10 minutes to go.

Anyway, I'm still happy with 2 points. They couldnt let a bottom feeder beat them.

I have this wierd hope that all this adversity will make them better.

On the other hand, I wonder if this is just one of those seasons where not much is going to go right.

It's not like when they were locked into a playoff position, couldn't really change it, and didn't have many injuries. poop is real right now. I think that is a very, very good thing.

Yeah, he is, with the way some goalies are getting paid.

It is going to be interesting to see what his next contract looks like.

- Aetherial

Well a good playoff run will help him out there.

As it stands he deserves 6-6.5 million.

Johnnson, Bracco, Timo

Coleman, Vatanen

Who says no?

- Santo_44

Doesn't really solve our problems. Seeing Johnsson play again reminds me why I'd rather have him over Kapanen.

Vatanen is a perfect fit.

The question is if they can work out a deal.

Another solid 3 point night for Tavares. Guy keeps putting up points without having to be the centre of attention.

Sandin looked good but it's not a huge test as it was Jersey. I still think they play Sandin up to the break and get him maxed out at his 9 games and then send him down while giving Lilly a chance after the All-star break.

We'll see how they fair against better opponents going into the break, get all 4 points and relax for a bit during that week off. Still think a trade's in order. I know injuries happen but I'd be cool with taking Johnsson > Kapanen and moving Kapanen + for a goalie and maybe a defenceman.

Either way we gotta do something about this whole Ceci Marincin thing. It hurts. Even Barrie on the defensive end; god love 'em, but there's not way he gets offered money over Muzzin, even if they did come at the same cost.

Tavares is the man.
Dont anyone forget that

and at times, he looks great

I feel like if he could just figure it out, and get some consistency, he could be among the best in the league.

The problem is what the hell are they going to do when his contract is up. That is going to be a tough decision unless some other goalie in the organization steps up.

Article on TSN about trades/signings has McKenzie saying capitals are seeing big deals for goalies and realizing it isnt usually good for the team. So Holtby may end up going to free agency. Leafs would be wise to consider doing the same if they have someone in the system.

Looks like the Atlantic's really narrowed the gap it had with the Metro over the last month or so with the Leafs and Bolts going on their tears and FLA continuing solid play.

Anyone know wtf is going on with Ian Scott this year while we're talking goalies?

I've thought similar on your second point. I hope it isnt but if it is they should see if they can get anything at the deadline for Barrie. But they will be in a playoff position so the only way that happens is if they have a serious 18 wheeler crash.

Nope. Dubas should trade for someone like Jarry or Georgiev though. Similar to the Andersen thing.

Wonder why it took so long to opt for surgery. Looks pretty serious just googling it.

Don't want that issue to compound so year, park him for the year. (frank)ing sucks losing a year of development.
