It will be interesting to see how the caps manage their cap next season. They don't have a lot of contracts ending. I guess it depends on how far the cap goes up by.

Babcock was never the problem.

Rielly was the problem.

- Atomic Wedgie

Don't you start, wedgie.

The guy on track to be the 2nd leading scorer for dmen in team history is not the problem.

Anyone familiar with the Corel Centre seating (or whatever the frank they call it in Ottawa these days)?

What's the deelio on 200 level seating - worth the extra $50 over 300 level?

It sure seems like it would be worth it - I'm wondering if there is a catch or something.

I haven't been to a game in Ottawa since 1997 - they scored late to break Hasek's shut-out and the Sens qualified for the playoffs for the first time. The building was pretty rocking that night.

- Atomic Wedgie

No. Also you'll need that 50 bucks for ther parking.

1. Auston and Mitch is pure magic. Remember Babcock ‘trying’ them together? He would have them together for the first 10 minutes and then immediately go back to the old lines? Shmuck

2. Sandin is on this team to stay imo. By- by Barrie next season...

3. NJ is awful

4. Trade Ceci for Subban?... runs and hides...

NJ would get the better player in the deal and Leafs would have 2 and a half years of $9 million a year for a useless piece of salami

Rielly Subban
Muzzin Holl
Sandin Dermont

???

Lol... Just looking a NJ roster and wondering if they would want to dump his contract, that’s all. 2 years left on the contract so its not long and figure he could be had for very little... He has got to have some game left...? Plus Lindsey!!!

Subban has got to have something left in the tank? It’s hard to judge a player on a completely crap team... even Simmonds look lost out there...

You guys are still on about Subban? 🤮

The guy isnt very good anymore, tries to do way too much and you know damn well playing in a market like Toronto he would try to do even more.

Let him go elsewhere. Even 50% retained I wouldn't want him on this team.

Simmonds fell off a cliff last year in Philadelphia. Simmonds had 15 goals pre-All Star game last year, and 2 after.

This year he has 4 goals. That's 6 goals in his last 77 games.

I haven't looked in any real detail, but a cursory glance notes that Subban was +10 in the first half of last year and -5 in the second half. Other Predators didn't have that similar slant.

I think Simmonds as a 4th liner would be great to be honest. He still has some skill/speed, and he has grit. Id love to have him on the team TBH. PK is on a bad team, I think he would be motivated by a move to Toronto, and he could turn it around. His shot from the point is still amazing.

PK is on his last contract. His new GM will be emailing Lou for directions and maps to get to Robidas Island soon.

No way he is on his last contract. He will be 32 at the end of his latest deal. Hell get at least 2 year deal for sure.

He will be busy making babies with his bride, and no one will be offering anywhere near $9 million a year. He's no Spezza, he will not play for $700K. He has a monster size ego

I can't really argue in any constructive way - I hardly noticed Simmonds yesterday, and haven't really noticed him in any meaningful way in the past while. I always loved the way he played.

Simmonds is only 31. It's hard to fathom that he'd have fallen off a cliff that much, but something is amiss. His $5m cap hit is preposterous.

Simmonds has been a poor skating defensive liability PP specialist for like 4 years now.
