Simmonds has been a poor skating defensive liability PP specialist for like 4 years now.
- AdamFrench

He'd still be an decent 4th liner, 2PP player IMO. He's not a top 6 anymore, that much is for sure.

So who the Leafs playing in the first round?

Is it weird if I want Boston?

I'd do it at that price, nothing more.

I wouldn't mind tbh. Since the new coach and all. Knowing our best players will play more.

Pretty positive we would beat them this time.

I'm so tired of it. These league forced 'rivalries' are annoying. Let them happen naturally

Bobby Mac said preliminary talks have started with Muzzin about an extension and that the Leafs could be looking to add a D during their bye week.
- Santo_44

I could be wrong but I thought Chris Johnston said during the second intermission that the leafs could take on a contract between 3-4 million right now or before the deadline without giving anything away.

Same here, I'd much rather see you guys later on in the 2nd round or something.

Tampa will likely pass Boston in the standings (especially with Rask injured, even though Halak has been good) and a good chance Leafs will be 3rd place so we will be forced to see another Boston-Toronto first round.

They have cap room from ltir and anyone they take on would be pro-rated cause half the season is gone.

Yeah Boston/Toronto was fun at first, this year it's dull and overkill. This new playoff matchups just mean we can see the same ones over and over.
Who exactly was complaining about 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7 ETC? I never heard anyone say anything bad about it.

Agree, why couldn't that shootout beauty by Marchand have been against the Leafs?

Exactly, it would make for a significantly better playoffs as they go along. The conference finals are mostly a joke now.
