Demelo costs Timo and a 2nd.

Add in Hainsey and I dont know?

- Santo_44

nah... not with Ottawa... take on a dead contract that can be send to Robidas Island..

e.g Gaborik..

you know that the Owner would gizz all over that option - keep the draft pick

Demelo will be an attractive piece at the deadline.

He won’t be a guy you can get for peanuts.

Hainsey probably is but Demelo will cost some value.

And if they add more to the LTIR I think they have to add exactly that amount in salary to make it work.

Ottawa radio is amazing.

"I really don't know if I would go Andersen over Anderson if a playoff game was on the line"

"I wouldn't do DeMelo for Kapanen or Johnsson 1 for 1"

"Shea Weber at this stage might be a decent 5-6 on a contender"

Bill Comeau came back out with his chartz for this year

https://mapleleafshotstov...dvanced-statistics/#skatr

It is fun to look around, you have to read them carefully but Deangelo or Demelo on a lesser scale would be great adds. Both under 1 million so they would ot have to trade Ceci.

when you use the skatr tool to compare Willie and Mitch

If they don't have hot takes for people to get mad at them for then nobody will listen to them talk about hockey.

I believe media members like that make this poop up just for the content. At least I hope so...

Don't forget Manson...That guy has been below average the last 2 years.

Muzzin will be re-signed, I'll bet my hat on it.

Demelo
Deangelo

Both cheap and good players, I am interested.

Brodie is another guy but the Leafs don't have a forward that they could trade that is fair for both teams.

If you're so sure on Muzzin you should bet that you'd eat a cat turd if he DOES re-sign.

I'd also accept eating horse poop off the ground like the Eagle fan.

I would do it, but doubt Carolina would. They have oodles of cap space with Marleau's hit coming off the books and Gardiner is worth his contract to many teams. Why would Carolina do this?
- winsix

Because they are giving him sheltered 3rd pairing minutes, yet he is a team-worst -20 (next worst is -7). His point totals suck.

I wonder if Carolina would just be happy to rid themselves of the contract.

Don't sleep on Martinez either

plays both sides and has played well with Muzzin historically.

Willie the 2nd most goals in the league "net-front area"
I thought that was where soft players stay away from.

I think people have failed to female dog about Nylander correctly. I like Nylander. If I have a complaint about him, it's that his effort is predominant when there's a chance for glory, but it's waning when there isn't.

If he has a chance at the puck, at a goal, at a 2 on 1, at an offensive play, he'll hunker down and skate. He'll even throw in 2nd and 3rd effort to try and get or keep the puck where that scoring chance exists.

As soon as the chance evaporates, so, too, it seems does Willy's will to compete hard.

I think if he ever learns how to play the other side of that equation, he'll be invaluable.
