It’s a shame to have to say this because Gerard Gallant is such a good person full of respect and humility. But for those asking, this was entirely performance based.

The problem is that cities are not plowing roads properly. But a foot of snow shuts down a lot of areas. Last year my companies IT team in Toronto spent a week working from home because of snow.

But why would they make themselves look bad to protect Gallant if something did happen off the ice? They could've done what Dallas did and just say it wasn't performance related and left it at that, then their fans would be more understanding.
