I expect their point % to go up from what it has been but I don't think it'll be by a huge amount nor do I think it will be any different that it would have been with Gallant.

You can only do so much with a middle of the pack quality roster.

When you look at their roster it doesn't scream out contender, maybe it's just me? They lack high-end center depth, which for me is the key to 95% of most championship teams over the past 40 years. Add to that Fleury has been just ok this year and you have a team in the mix of mediocrity that is the Pacific Division.

Make the playoff's, your goalie gets hot, anything can happen.

When you look at their roster it doesn't scream out contender, maybe it's just me? They lack high-end center depth, which for me is the key to 95% of most championship teams over the past 40 years. Add to that Fleury has been just ok this year and you have a team in the mix of mediocrity that is the Pacific Division.

They've overachieved for a couple straight seasons, they definitely aren't a contending team unless Fleury plays out of his mind imo

Their C depth is definitely a problem but I see even more issues on the back end, they don't have a #1 or #2 Dman.

Thus the "at this point". Canucks are in a much better position going forward for exactly the reasons you stated, youthful core.

Vegas has some excellent young core players too but most of their guys are late 20's or early 30's, not early 20's like ours. Pacioretty is 31, Stone is 27, Karlsson is 27, Marchessault is 29, Reilly Smith is 28 and Fleury is 35.

Better than most of us expected at the start of the year. Overall, I think our starts have been killing us. I'm not sure if you can attribute that to Green or just a young team learning what it takes. I also don't see why he shouldn't get the rest of the season at this point. I reserve the right to change that opinion should there be an outright collapse...so don't hold me to this.

The thing about replacing coach is first, they have to want to come here and work under Benning and Aquaman. Second, there's a bunch of other teams worse off that want them too.
