Mario Lemieux is the greatest goal scorer in the games history, only Bossy is close in goals per game. Mario was still scoring in bunches into the 2000’s.

Ovi did it 8 times not counting this season over a span of 15 years. 689 goals total for Ovi so far and 894 for Gretzky over his career. That's quite a difference, however to-day's players are faster and better conditioned: would Gretz have been as prolific today? Plus, #99 had his "police force" to look after him to punish those who dared breath on him, while #8 is fully capable of defending and looking after himself.

I’m the documentary “in search of greatness “ Gretzky actually says Mario was a better goal scorer”! The guy missed 2-3 seasons of his prime to disc issues and cancer ... then retired for 4 years and still scored 690 goals in 900 games

Neely had three 50 goal seasons and never played a full season. His one season of 50 goals in 49 games was incredible, and he ONLY played 49 games that year

Neely scored at 53 goal per 82 game pace for his career in Boston. Can't imagine what it would be had he not had his knee blown out
