Wholeheartedly agree. It might not be bracco but it could be another Marlie + a 2nd or 3rd. (hutch gets thrown in for swapping)

Oilers looking at Kapanen, and they have a few pretty good D prospects. Nurse was drafted by Dubas and played for Keefe in the Soo.

With Nurse, the Leafs could walk away from Muzzin as they will have a better skating replacement.

It makes too much sense for it to not happen.

Buuuttt Nurse has only 7 fewer points than Kapanen this season. Annnddd the career best point production for both differs by less than 5 points.

So why should the offensively starved Oilers move Nurse, a slick skating, mean ass D in his prime, for a forward who doesn't provide a significant upgrade in offence?

If Leafs fans want a top 4 young up and coming d it's going to take Nylander if it's a winger. As much as I would want it to be Kap it is kind of unrealistic.

They do have some good young defensemen coming up in Bouchard, Jones and Bear.... gotta make some room for them I guess?

Bouchard and Jones are likely locks for next season. Russell or Nurse probably gonna get dealt.
