Leafa drop out of a playoff spot lol, pathetic play by Andersen, if he wasn't even half as good as he can play we win a half of those last few games

Enjoy your golfing Andersen, maybe he thinks is June? Lol

3 or 4 goals are a Chicago player vs Freddie, how many break aways or 2 on 1s did the Leafs have? I remember a couple good chances for the Leafs - Nylander in the slot and he misses the net, Sandin walked in and passed it into the corner and obviously the 2 goals.

We need some saves but most of these goals that he should supposedly have are post and in...and break away and odd man rush after odd man rush.

I think he could have had a couple tonight so he’s not escaping some blame too.

Disappointed 1050 doesn’t have post game reaction.

Was hoping to hear Ken Tampon and Ross Levitard break it down.

Guess I will wait for Dangle.

I will be happy if they make the playoffs at this point...

At this point I don’t see them being better than -

Bos / Bolts / Pens or Caps .. not that they’d have to play all of them ..

Was at the Bruins Penguins game and had something going in so missed that and the Leafs game tonight. What’s the deal? Is the defense the Achilles heel after all of these injuries?

Depends who you ask:
Could be:

Freddie
Marincin
All the D
Nylander
Keefe
Dubas
Johnsson
Brooks

Still some blaming Babs.

The 1977 Habs defense would look like crap playing in a front of Andersen doing his best Bernier impression.

In a perfect world he is sitting or with the Marlies. But players get injured so you hawe to play lesser players.

He is the current whipping boy. But 700k for a fill in who cares.

We need a Gunnarsson, Hainsey or Polak. Just a (frank)ing turd that does the right thing.

13+million tied up in a third line of Johnsson, Kerfoot, Nylander is just too much for next season.
Trade two of them and address some of the weaknesses this team has with that capspace and rosterspots being freed up.
Pity Johnson's trade value has gone way down, but Nylander's value has gone up a bit..

- MaximusAurelius

One of them's gonna go.

I'm willing to wait on Kerfoot because despite what people say he's a good utility player, especially for his size. Kapanen disappoints because his speed still results in shots right into the goalie instead of behind him. Johnsson is hard to guage. I kinda like his term and the fact that he was raised under keefe, so it'll be interesting to see how he develops, but they won't keep that group together for long. Especially when Mikayhev comes back.

My wildcard prediction intact. The club's d, as predicted just isn't very deep and isn't very defensive. Unbalanced team. Keefe has done well to get the offence back on track but he doesn't have the horses on the back end. Reilly/Muzzin make them mediocre again as a group but certainly not deep playoffs level.

52%= 13-12 and we missed the net on the good chances ( easy saves there ) and there high danger chances were breakaways and 2 on 1’s

Keefe following #Leafs loss: "Reality checks come. I thought that we were an immature team down in Florida, we were an immature team here today. We're not performing, we're not playing with any level of discipline or consistency."

yep, this team doesnt have leadership thats for sure....

whos the captain again? ya they dont respect him ....

There's a love triangle in the dressing room. I didn't hear anything about that, but c'mon, it's pretty obvious from last night's game.

Babcock was trying to get the team to play "the right way" for a playoff run.

Keefe wants the same thing, but understands they had to get to the playoffs first. That seems to be a run and gun game which is a more "natural" style for this team, currently.

How do they play one style to get into the playoffs - while learning how to play the "right way" in the playoffs during practice, and forensic team meetings - then when playoffs start, turn off the reg season game and crank up the playoff game?

I'm tired already.

Thank goodness I can just sit back and watch how this unfolds.

Leafs' defence was wafer-thin to start the season.

With our top two defencemen out, it's a franking miracle we took 3 of 6 points this week.
