Barzal needs to stop turning the puck over.. it's become a problem. Needs to make the high % smart play once in a while. |

We certainly get a ton of press every time our ice is not up to par, but there are a TON of rinks that have awful ice all the time and no one says boo. Carolina, Florida, Arizona and Anaheim have awful ice. ... Barclays is not very good.. but Nassau is fine. |

Teams now 0-3-1 all time when openly mocking the Kuzy "bird celebration" mid-game. Thank you, Devon Toews! |

What are teams' records when their ice crews mock Kuzy's hotel cleanup staff?

That celebration is so lame it deserves to be mocked. |

Feel free to keep poking the bear!
Kuzy likes to party so what? He deserved to let loose after leading the Stanley Cup playoffs in points (12G, 20A in 24 GP). Was it a poor decision? yea probably lol |

I really just don't understand why we keep marching that same awful 3rd line out there every game and then not playing it. We have kids who could add some energy, scoring and excitement into that line. Call one up and play them.. wtf? |

#Isles Barry Trotz talked a lot this morning about teams needing those "big-moment guys." He was asked if his team has enough: "I don’t know. We’ll find out. I did last year and there’s not much change so I would say yes."
Sorry Barry I would say No. |

Not really sure we have that.
Wahlstrom didn't really look bad when he was here but he didn't look like he was ready yet either.
Bellows and Koivula both skate at a glacial pace as well.
Couple all that with the fact that you probably can't trust any of the three to play well enough defensively (not a knock on them, they're just inexperienced rookies) to fit the system the way Barry needs them to and that's probably why they haven't been called up and/or haven't played much when they were here. |

I get the need for defense but when do the Isles start to put some priority on skill and being able to score goals? You can try Bellows on the 3rd line and you can always limit the minutes if needed. Otto did not look that slow last game. Did the Isles draft all players with skating issues? Going forward can we make sure players can skate well enough for the NHL? |

I mean I'm all for giving him a game or three at some point, but I still don't really feel he has the pace to keep up at the NHL level. It's been a great 1.5 months or so for him but we can't just ignore the disappointing year and a half of pro hockey before that when evaluating him either. I don't think there's a single player in Bridgeport that is really forcing Lou or Barry's hand to call them up.
Let's not forget that Dal Colle was a point-per-game player in the AHL last season before he ended up here full-time. Bellows scoring numbers have been awesome lately, but clearly that's far from the only thing that they need to see out of him down there. |

I think, from a stats prospective, that this:
"I’m not the biggest fan of plus/minus by any means as I’ve noted many times before but .."
Sits oddly in with worrying about face-off percentages.

With Thompson as coach I'm not surprised. Please Isles scouts open your eyes and actually watch these players and the first thing you need to determine is can they skate well enough. I'm tired of hearing Isles prospects cannot skate and please do not draft a player in the 1st round and especially in the lottery with obvious skating issues. |

I don't think that's the case with all of the prospects. Just the two forwards in the AHL that seem to be the closest to NHL-ready. Holmstrom is a good skater, Wahlstrom is fine. Dobson and Wilde are higher-end. |

Figures the two closest to the NHL. Another couple of games of watching this team, I'm going to want Holmstrom up just because he can skate. |
