The Spurgeon contract should still be a very tradable asset. I will still wonder if BG had no problem with doing that deal with Spurgeon, as he knew he could still trade him if things went sour...which they have, even if the Wild won last night, it was in overtime and it still gave the Hawks a point in the standings. That won't help the Wild climb into the Wildcard race, which they shouldn't do anyways.
