Yzerman can't control where he picks but he can control who he picks. I trust him. I'm hoping for 1st but expecting 4th. Stutzle looks good. I like Byfield and Drysdale too. I'd be disappointed to not get Lafreniere but rest assured no matter what happens, Yzerman will be getting a very good player with that 1st round pick. I'm excited about Seider. Hopefully he gets a few games up in Detroit to see where his game is at.

I’ve seen some shots where he’s been there as well. What’s interesting is that his stock may be increasing even more. Good call on that. Not a name I’d seen/heard much about but I think I’d been looking at NA rankings.

I completely agree. What I love about Yzerman is his demand for “intensity”. He wants not only skill but players who have the right sort of drive. Too many “lazy” scorers in jr can’t make the jump.
