I totally agree. I watch pretty much every game and they have been making a lot bad decisions. Over passing, poor passing, & blind passing. The D has been leaving the goalies out to dry. Too many odd man rushed and not enough back checking. Plus, Ovi can't out score the other team every night.
Get it out of their system now and get back to the basics. Get hot in time for the playoffs!
Well to me, it's all about playing hard night in night out. With the exception of the Stanley cup's run, they haven't been able to do this. Understand, when you have a talent on the team you prefer not to play hard and tend to cheat a little, but seriously? These effen players are professionals, you pay hundreds of dollars to see and they don't show up often times. Something has to be done and Reirden better be ready for it. I know Mac is, so will see. Luckily the deadline ain't over yet.
I have said that before, eventually you are going to run out of luck and good bounces. They will be fighting for a playoff spot....
I was at the Flyers game Saturday night. This was by far the worst game I ever payed money to watch in over 4 decades of watching the Caps. Lots of Flyer fans around me up in the upper bowl and I am happy to say that they were all decent although nearly delirious when it was 7-1. It was a pathetic effort from the get-go...passes too far in front, too far behind, in the skates, weak passes, blind passes. They lost nearly 80% of the face-offs, no real body checks. The only heart was shown by Brendan Leipsic and Carl Hagelin. They are going through a rough patch and hopefully they get it out of their system but damn it hurt to shell out cash to watch that. Two chicken tacos and a beer from a vendor in the concourse set me back $28.50 to complete the fiasco.
