Are you sure you want to be the one talking about others spewing dumb shít? Kind of hypocritical.

Dr Robert Anderson on Weber's injury: a complete healing is expected.

So it translates into career ending injury? Well that is that.

Yeah, every year it's wait until next year....

Firing your coach and GM doesn't make you better until you hire BETTER REPLACEMENTS. I'll have a new rant after the NY Rangers get a better return for Chris Krieder then we got Taylor Hall.

What youth and talent is coming up? Ty Smith who was a complete mess in training camp is going to fix the D??? Mikey McLeod who couldn't beat out Kevin "AHL" Rooney for 4th line center?

Enjoy the Kool-Aid. This organization is a disaster.

Queenie,

You need to realize how TERRIBLE the devils roster was when Lou left. The team was made up of AHL talent and kept afloat by Kovy/Parise. Lou destroyed our farm system, drafted like crap, and traded away assets. It takes a WHILE to restock the system. Lou set this franchise back 10 years, if my math is right that means we should be competitive/playoff bound by 2022.

The remarkable losses of Kovy, Parise and Clarkson is what really plunged us into the dark ages... but there is no denying our farm system was garbage and the drafting had been awful for a long time. The bottom line is we can both agree we started off from a very bad place.

You can give them another two years and ultimately I will have to also. But to me this team looks pretty screwed up right now and doesn't seem to have any plan to get better.

They should correct a little bit considering they're on an unsustainable 3-11 run, OEL just got back and Kuemper should be coming back soon.

It would be hilariously poetic if that scenario happens, though.

Fourth OA! and our own pick at Five! Shero leaving one more killer trade as he closed the door! And I was against this trade (pieces coming back)!

There is no denying this team looks screwed up, that is a FACT.

If it's so screwed up then why not try and trade some of our more valuable assets for a good return (keep them if the return isn't over the top). It will benefit the team more to get players with similar age to Nico/Jack.

Imagine the devils get another first rounder this year. Adding a potential top Dman (Drysdale) with our own pick, Yotes pick could be top 15 which could yield a potential top 6 winger (maybe even that goalie), and then a middle 6 forward with another first rounder. Piece those with some of the young talent the devils have and in a few years time we will be looking at this draft as the turning point.

Unfortunately, I don't have faith in the devils front office at the moment so this is all doubtful.

Keep COLEMAN and PALMIERI..'
Coleman came up in NJD system and Palms is a NJ native.....

Vats 50/50 if you get a #1 trade him .If not resign him ...would rather sign him....

Trade Greene -not gonna resign

Keep Simmons at a discount . Actually 21 points is not bad for a tough policeman ....
too many young small guys to protect and keep teams honest.

Simmonds = Bastian , Hayden
Wood = Mcleod

Greene -Vats = Smith ,Bahl , Wash

CORY = ???? SENN .

Suggesting we don't have youth getting better and bringing this team a level up from where they are now is a bit short-sighted. The fact our 1st 2 lines are centered by guys who can't buy a 6 pack is evidence enough. Zacha, Blackwood and Bratt are all still young and developing. Add Smith, Walsh, Clarke, Talvitie and Bahl to that equation, along with 2 top 15 picks and I'd say we have a pretty good youth movement.

Coleman and Palms add leadership and mentorship to these guys. Zajac and PK as well, even if their skill set has dropped.

All I am saying is let's not throw in the towel on the rebuild b/c we got ahead of ourselves over the summer. Give this team a good GM/Coach and we should take some big strides.
