I couldn't make a title long enough to fit the rest of the quote, but I got close enough... ha.

Didn’t think the non-goal was a goal at all. Garbage play. If you allow that kind of goal, you are opening a whole can of worms.

Namestikov is what it is. They traded a 2021 4th for him. Would be nice to gain at least a 4th back, but I am sure Dorion will grab a couple of assets to replenish that. When Namestikov was traded for, who would have through Pag would be so high on the trade bait list?

Good commentary on Brown. I’ve said it for awhile that he may be an underrated trade option that could bring in a decent sized package. I am not sure he is worth signing for this team given they will not be competitive for a few more years. Seems like he could be a good piece to bring in an prospect and middle round pick.

I just don't know what Paul is supposed to do on that play. He gets pushed. No opportunity to get out of the way and see how the play unfolds. To me that's a delay of game situation.

Bonus thumbs up to Dylan Demelo for being one of the few players to effectively get under Nathan McKinnon's skin. Nate was ready to kill him.

It was fun to watch.

Agreed - that should be a delay of game penalty against the Avs.

headshots threaten seasons/careers, that sure does "effectively get under the skin"

It’s a grey area, I guess. The play isn’t a penalty along the boards so not sure why it would be in front of the goal, but I see your argument. I don’t think there was an intent to plow the crease and create a stoppage in play. Honestly thought nothing of the play when I watched it in real time.

I’m assuming by “head shot” , you mean “ridiculous embellishment”.

If that had been a head shot, on one of the best players in the league, DOPS would have at least looked at it......which they didn’t.

I also agree with the non-goal. It sets a dangerous precedent if you allow that as a goal. It's two guys battling in tight. You can't take that away from the game.
