Speaking specifically about JA, if he can be acquired cheaply, why not? Low risk, high reward move. Sabres need that, it’s a chance worth taking.

Far too many Sabres have a pass first mentality right now. When the season opened, everyone was shooting, now they think they can play pretty and make it work. That is obviously not working. Every team, especially Buffalo needs snipers (6 of them). We have 2 and maybe 3 right now. Jack, Olo (proving himself) and maybe Skinner. The 4th line needs to be special teams and grind out 30+ goals. Gaustad back in the day for example.

I just don’t see the cheap ownership of Ottawa trading a cheap. Young. Future superstar for a damn good older rw who’s gonna get paid!

And trading from a position of weakness is never good. Without other moves that leaves, tage, okoposo as the true rw with maybe cozens or mitts being able to slide in there.
