I'll own my posts...I was absolutely pissed...for me it was anyone but Josh.
It reminded me of when they drafted Spiller TBH. A complete waste of a 1st.
Anyway, I really wanted Mayfield and still believe he will be a good QB...but needs alot of help developing.

I am now 120% behind Josh and want him to succeed very badly. Beaner was right when he said Josh is Buffalo...the kid makes you want the best for HIM...and the Bills.

Go Josh!

Josh was always a flawed prospect, and he still is, but with signs of putting it together. What took me by surprise was his personality and how much fans and teammates really seem to rally around him. Contrast that with Baker, Rosen, and Darnold.

Sounds simple but shoulders just aren't that easy, as I'm sure a few here will attest to. Even after being cleared, it can take a year to get full use back, and getting it back to pre-surgery strength at any point is debateable
- joevthree

Sure, but that's true of many surgeries. It would require an evaluation before consummating the deal.
Athelete's have access to PT far and away better than you and me, along with a single focus to rehab the injured area so it actually becomes stronger than before. He'll be fine unless it is an outlier...that is what evaluations by the best surgeons are for.
Foligno was 20% of himself before having surgery, came back fine.

Question his talent as a scoring beast is crazy.
He IS EXACTLY what the Sabres need ... #2 on my list to acquire.

Agreed 100%.

I watched a fair amount of video on each, and read / listened to a ton of the so called expert analysts, it was universal he was 4th out of 5...just goes to show these guys aren't as smart as they think they are...and many are doing their best to dis Josh just to save face.
Anyway.

I was wrong and I own it.

All valid points. Although I'm sure many of us with ex's would have liked a much better evaluation before "consummating" the deal.

I kid, of course

I was apprehensive of the Allen pick as well. But everyone who felt that way is very happy to be wrong about it. Screw the “I knew it”, “I told you so, look at me” bragging rights.

I was won over by a friend of mine, who was a huge advocate for Buffalo as a city and sports town.

Very early on he told me he had a strong “Jimbo vibe” from Josh. And when he passed away recently I went all-in, in his honor.

Must have missed the part where Allen became better than average. The jury is still waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out on him. He made definite strides last year but he was a bottom-level qb the year before.

Im the wrong person to ask, as I’m no longer objective on him. He’s my guy, ride or die.

It was mostly a joke but he’s been trending towards really bad again for a while now, once again. Especially defensively

He really is a #3-4 at BEST.

You don’t hear a lot of chirping from fans of the other Josh. Most of them probably would like to tell you they were actually Jackson backers all the way.

I have no issues admitting I didn't like the Allen pick at all at the time, but the majority of the fanbase didn't. The live feed of the Buffalo fans was hilarious - overwhelming moans and everyone's shoulders slumped.

Either way, most people are excited about him after what we have seen so far. He is the most exciting player we've had on offense in over a decade and I honestly cannot wait to see more of him play.
