It’s amazing none of them have a Selke and Conn Smythe by now if you ask me.
- Hatboro_Swords

No, what’s “amazing” is that u still try to defend a guy who was so horrible he can’t even get another job in the NHL almost 3 years later now

Give it time, most have just started there career's. Ya know Point, Aho, Boeser.
- Buff36

You really never know. They might’ve been able to package up enough 2nds and 3rds to the Leafs and stole their number 1 they used on Matthews.

Are you familiar with the details of his contract?

Yet he was the symbol of criticism the entire first few rounds of the playoffs while Schwartz and Tarasenko scored them to the WCF.

He was so good they moved Brayden Schenn to 1C and demoted him.

Boss would like a word. He'll buy up 10 of their seats just on FOMO alone.

Absolutely. He did brake his ribs in Dallas series though.

I can't believe that they cannot even tank correctly anymore. The only way things will change is if Pegula takes a hit in the pocketbook. Stop buying tickets for mediocre hockey.

Why does it matter what I would do? I'm not in charge of the team. Am I ok with it? Well, does it matter?

If you want an idea:

If tampa wants cap savings: Mittelstadt, Erod and 2021 1st for Cirelli. Gives tampa cap savings because that dude is getting paid

- jcragcrumple

That dude is getting paid= Erod?

Tough to say who we’d have picked though
GMTM has proven to not have had a great draft record
But with all those picks he did move,
probably would’ve hit on a couple by accident at least

My problem with the McNabb one was that it just didn’t make any sense

I did like the ROR & Kane trades though
Too bad they aren’t still here
Funny how everyone is saying we need a 2C and a Top6 winger...
Yet most on here wanted both of those guys gone

Smh.....

- jdfitz77

Yeah we don't know who he would have picked with all those picks, but even a blind man throwing darts at a board could have hit on 3 or 4. I hated both those trades at the time, we didn't have the pieces in place to succeed yet.

Nope, are you familiar with the details?
How so?

Bc many guys who get fired don’t wait until their old contract runs out to go get another job

I disagree
The problem imo was that every single move GMTM made involving the defense was a total bust

If Bogo & Gorges were good for example,
we’d have been a perennial playoff team

Probably had the worst defense in the league

Who were your wingers, even with those 2 we had no scoring. Are defense was bad, but we couldn't score either.

Bc the defense couldn’t get the puck out of our zone & up the ice

It was either a turnover, bad pass, or dump it out to Center & the opposing team would regain possession & bring the puck back in

And yeah, we did need another move still

The offense was worse than the defense. Eichel, RoR, Sam, Kane, Okposo, and Moulson...yet the top 6 was below average.

Moulson & Okposo were obvious mistakes too

I think the defense being so bad greatly hindered the offense

They were just all- around bad, what we have on the team know, this would be the time for a ROR trade.

Difference of opinion

If Kane & ROR we’re still here we’d be a playoff team for sure imo
And that’s even with crappy goaltending
Imagine if we got that fixed up

Couldn't afford them both, or Skinner isn't here. Just good conversation.

Why?
We still got Dahlin & Mitts with ROR
Should’ve just kept him

When u have a chance to get good, young players... you do it
O’Reilly just turned 29

Skinner-Jack-Sam
Kane-ROR-Asplund
Olofsson-Mitts-Caufield(drafted instead of Cozens)
Girgs-Larsson-Okposo/Lazar

I’d be happy with that for next year
Very happy

A windmill will kill many bald eagles. After a certain number, they make you turn the windmill off, that is true. By the way, they make you turn it off. And yet, if you killed one, they put you in jail. That is OK. But why is it OK for windmills to destroy the bird population?
- Der Kaiser

Sounds like we need an expert on bird law.

Would’ve been tough to make happen,
but possible
Other teams do it
Look at Tampa every year with impossible Cap situations that they seem to work out

I understand what happened
With both him & Kane

But if we hadn’t moved them,
we wouldn’t be looking for a 2C & top6 winger
