Ok.
Funny how 4 guys, 8 eyes, miss the cross check to Gallagher’s face.
Yet, the guy that did it gets fined 5k??

Not Chara's fault Gallagher is 4'10. He reaches DOWN and probably hits his face.
Strike that - wasn't his face. Was Gallagher's upper chest / neck area.
Just a wee bit higher and would have been a lot more serious though...
Where's that GIF of the Ref with Bruins logo? Been a while... no?

Kudos buddy, that's quite a nice bit of mental gymnastics you've just done here.
Not that it would have changed the results of the game but that was clearly a penalty, the league even fined Chara the next day. The refs are human beings and they clearly missed one here ... so be it.
If crosschecking someone in the throat is not penalty material in your world then I wonder what is, would chopping a guy's head off qualify to be assessed a penalty?
Seriously dude, instead of your laughable justification of the event, you should re-evaluate your intellectual honesty (or lack of).
In the end it didn't change the result of the game so it's already water under the bridge for me. |

Take a pill - it was a joke. Gallagher is obviously not 4'10". He's more like 5'5".
But he did say "discuss"...

Things are getting better or worse depending on one's point of view.
Personally, I'm now in the tank team ... never was my preference in the past but why not at this point?
After missing the playoffs 4 out of the last 5 years, it's clear the team lacks the tools to be competitive with the big boys. In Laval, the situation is the same with a bunch of unproven assets and they'll probably miss the playoffs again.
In the end, what difference is it to finish 9th versus 16th in the conference? ... why not get better draft picks like all the current contending teams had to do in past years? Start the fire sale and do it right at the draft table for once.
I know I sound like a broken record but the only thing that would give me hope would be to see Molson fire everyone and fumigate the 2nd floor once and for all. The stench of improvisation and incompetence up there is nauseating.
Maybe throwing Habs jerseys on the ice would finally send a message. |

The best thing Molson could ever do is hire a President of Hockey Operations to oversee everything, pushing Molson out of the picture for most of this stuff with a guy who will hold the GM, coach and team accountable. And then let that President set an overall team strategy, and either MB / CJ get on board, or toss them out the door.
Otherwise, the only thing to look forward to this summer is MB's next failed offer sheet. |

... I agree with your whole post completely.
Maybe he could have prevented Bergy from giving a 10M contract to a (frank)ing goalie!!! When your whole strategy is built around a goalie then you get what you asked for ... failure!
Sam Pollock must be rolling in his grave, the Habs used to win cups with speed up front and a solid D (remember the big 3?). A goalie didn't need to perform miracles night in night out for the team to be competitive. Dryden was good but not exceptional by any means, he didn't need to.
As for Timmins, I want his head on a plate ... think about it, that guy has barely drafted anyone that is currently in our lineup, his repeated failures are monumental. No wonder we are no longer competitive and getting worse every year, the guy has been proven to be clueless, it's time for new blood/ideas.
Now I'm really worried they'll do stupid moves to save their jobs, their " Reset Thingamajig thing" has really got me nervous. Sounds desperate to me at this point.
The time to fire Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin is now
https://dailyhive.com/mon...m-marc-bergevin?auto=true
PS: Sorry for the rant boys & girls, I better stop posting for a while because the more I think about the mismanagement of this team over the last 20 years the madder I get. Not good for my blood pressure.
I REALLY have (frank)ing had it with this bunch of cartoons on the 2nd floor. |

Bergy is just keeping the Habs on the respirator to keep his job.

I dont think he could have done anything better this year, as a matter of fact, gotta give him some credit because he didn't mortgage the future when the injuries starting piling up.... they were still very much in it when the injuries started, he did nothing to try and save his job, because he knew he'd have to sacrifice prospects and picks to do it |

Agreed, but the thing is that we are in this current situation because of his past decisions ... poor drafting/development. It really catches up to you after a few years.
If we had more competent reserves he wouldn't have been so handcuffed. |

I think MB gets a B+ for the quick "retool" he just did in 24 months, I just hope he finishes the job and gives this team a real chance at being competitive in 2 years |

While I respect your opinion, I just want to get rid of him and his cronies because I would prefer to get someone else with a truly "genuine plan" for a total rebuild ... not a reset bullpoop plan. That's the only way we might become contenders again.
I have ZERO confidence in Bergy & Cie. ... they've had their chance but looking at their past handling of recruitment/development for the last 10 years, I'm just not ready to waste any more time on these guys anymore. |

Sure, I hear ya Kitty Cat... and with all that said, I wouldn't care one bit if he got canned tomorrow, I just wanna see a good team on the ice... I think he's laid out a decent foundation, if someone else has to come in to finish the job, so be it.... as long as someone does it, I dont care who |

This is getting pathetic. Get some friends to talk to if you need to. Start a topic of discussion if you're so (frank)ing desperate to discuss the Habs. Reading over other peoples comments, adding nothing to the discussion, whining about the lack of hockey talk that you've contributed nothing to, then trying to act like the mature adult all while coming off as a crying, petulant child. Seriously dude, analyze what happened here the last 12 hours or so and get your life in order...what you're doing is a combination of embarrassing and pathetic while also childish...grow the (frank) up. At least with peanut we're pretty sure it's a shtick |
