Just go to capfriendly & crunch the numbers to find out. Start with expecting reasonable cap increases & a guesstimate of what the new TV deal will add to that. Tbh anyone can try & see for themselves. 👍

When Hughes and Petey need a raise we have at least 19.5m coming off the books, plus what ever else they can do to get more cap.

Some ppl take it for granted both Petey & Hughes are getting Matthews & Marner money. Nobody once has thought a very good bridge deal could be done. As players they know if they want to be winners the money will be there if they take that route. Yes they risk injury but that gamble will pay off huge if they ride it out.

Guys like MacEwen and Bailey will get minimal raises, so not a pressing issue with them. Fantenberg, Leivo, Motte.. those guys you can replace with guys from Utica, as we are seeing now. I also think it would be easiest to ship off Sutter (4.375) to a team needing some depth C, even if you have to retain 1 mill.

Edler will retire and someone will be picked by Seattle. It will be interesting to see who they resign, and who they let walk, as there are going to have to be some decisions made. That year is also when the cap could see a significant bump with the TV deal, and Loui becomes easier to offload as he's on his last year... or goes down with some LTIR disease.

It's going to be tricky with a lot of moving parts, but I do believe the organization has a ton of contingencies in place to make everything slide into place.

Flyers have great coaching and the Canucks have a great goaltender lol....other than that they are both very mediocre teams, last nights game from a Canucks perspective was absolute dogpoop and they won 3-0

You do realize that at the end of next year alone they have over 19 mil coming off the books right? Markstrom is currently getting paid 3.7mil. An increase of around 2 mil is not hard to fit in.
