I think at the very least he should take the rest of the season off. I know something like that can take a toll on you and he's gotta make sure whatever triggered the episode wouldn't come back again. Great that he seems to be doing well though.

Well, I don't claim to know much about internal defibrillator's, but I don't think it's far fetched to say that could be the end of his career. And small cost really if he lives a nice long, happy life.
