Zero points from the top guys was a downer. Can't keep doing that...

If there's one thing the Preds can do, it's beat teams run by their old head coach. They haven't lost to Washington in four years, and they've looked solid against the Islanders since he's taken over there. Hockey is weird sometimes.

Every game is so important right now that every win makes you feel like the team is right back in it, and every loss makes you want Poile to blow the thing up. I'm done deluding myself into thinking there'll be any carry over from the Preds play into the next game, they've fooled me too many times this year, but it was fun to see them pull their heads out of their butts and put up a great performance in front of the home crowd. Especially after the bad taste left over from the Vancouver game.

Speaking of which... I kind of liked that Hynes sort of sat the 'stars', and let the guys who are actually working hard and producing results play. Even if I didn't like it at first sight, the decision grew on me. I'm still not sold on the guy, but it's probably my favorite thing that he's done so far as Head Coach.

To say this team is perplexing is an understatement. I just watched an Islanders game the other night, they looked like world-beaters. At the same time, the Preds were having their derriere handed to them in Vancouver. What a difference a couple of days make.

Anyone have a milk carton? I'd like to be reminded what Forsberg, Arvi, Joey and Duchene look like. What a disappointment the "stars" have been this year. I'm glad Duchene has country music to fall back on because his day job isn't working out.

Besides Smitty, Granlund and (the little engine that could) Grimaldi, it looks like Juuse is coming into his own. Good thing because Peks has completely fallen off a cliff. No doubt they'll split play in the home-and-home, but anyone else cringe when Peks starts?

No doubt last night fueled Poile into a buying position. Not good. Still don't think this team is going to do much. Like Grimaldi said, they're average, basically .500, so don't start ordering a banner just yet.

Repeat after me......Nashville has NO, I repeat NO goaltending......they will not get out the first round let alone make the playoffs with NO goaltending......The moron employee of the Preds will fool you into believing this is the best team in the history of the NHL....the greatest collection of talent in the history of all sports....but just one question.....How many Cups do the Preds have.....Nashville fans don't don't even need a calculator or Siri for this one! Paul will have you believe the Preds will be this years St. Louis Blues.....but one problem....The Blues have a goaltender...Ooops....so welcome to reality......feel like you are on top of the world....but in the long run, the team is a train wreck.....In the mean time, keep it up with your grammar school chants, and loud mouth high school PA announcer......
