If the Hawks traded Lehner to Carolina I'd want one of Gauthier/Kuokkanen and a conditional first depending on if Lehner signs. Feel like that's pretty fair for the quality of goalie Lehner is.
- Toew Drags 4 Daze

I'd do Kuokkanen, a conditional 1st and another pick if necessary. For sure.

advertisers, supposedly. Though from what I know most of the advertisers are mail order brides and penis enhancements.

Cocksucking slips though. banana eaters doesn't. You figure it out.

No idea. What do you want?

I think they'd be reluctant to give up a 1st unless they can get him signed.

- BINGO!

Conditional 2nd if lehner signs becomes a 1st and foegele / bean reimer perhaps. Just spitballing.

What picks?

Kovachuk: 700,00 a 3rd

Thornton: 1M 3rd

Byfuglien: 2M UFA aka FREE

All prorated of course.

- Savard2Secord

Why are they signing a guy who isn't playing this season, if at all?

Why is a team with a very little chance of making the playoffs trading draft picks while they are doing a rebuild?

How many incentive players do the Hawks have that are on track to meet their objective(s)?
- Savard2Secord

Capfriiendly shows what each could get but not for what they get them for. If you click on a players name you can see there history of earnings which for the cat shows him getting 32,500 in p-bonus for this year

Bit much. Conditional 2nd (Becomes a 1st if Lehner signs or the Canes reach the cup finals), Janne Kuokkanen and James Reimer works for me.

Eh. If giving up Bean I think I'd just wait it out and see if they can get him in Free Agency instead.

Kubalik seems to be the one that will hit some. Boqvist, Dach, Strome and Dinky prolly will hit milestone bonuses. Meaning games played and the like. The big incentives shouldn't be an issue for anyone other than Kubalik

I love Foegele but the Hawks are already chock full of 3rd and 4th liners. I wouldn't hate it by any means but I don't think it really helps much for a team that needs more top 6 talent or players who project as top 6 talent.

Not as long as Elbows wanted, but at least some clarity. That's a lot of youth in that lineup.

Zack Smith will be out about 7-10 days after getting cut on his left hand by a skate blade in Vancouver.

I have no gripe with JJ - never did. In my opinion he could be thin skinned at times with some posters but I never experienced it first hand. I did experience the "pissing-matches" and can say JJ wasn't always the lone antagonist. I will also say JJ did freely express his opinions, but was sometimes ungracious when others did the same.

I'm grateful to JJ for spending his time to provide Hawks fans a place to hang out. So be wasn't perfect - so what.

- EbonyRaptor

Who is...right? Don't really disagree with anything you said, other than the part about experiencing the wrath of JJ first hand.

I used to be grateful for a place to hang out and chat with other Hawk fans until me and a few other guys got on the bad side of JJ for being friendly with a poster that he and some other people didn't care for.

As a result, bans ensued for me and a select few while others could post in similar manner without any reprisal.

That's a simplified version and I'm sure there is a chicken or egg argument from both sides, but whatever.

Respect your opinion but I appreciate the current guy (TC) for his writing style, commentary, ability to balance his Hawk fandom with objectivity and the fact that when he does decide to play referee here, he doesn't just side with the guy who happens to mirror his POV.

Other than the DC5 thing you're pretty golden.

I hope you are not saying the Hawks pick him up. Three more years at $4M is a hard pill to swallow for a slightly better Gus.
- Chunk

No I do not want him. I was wondering how much dissatisfied with the former Leafs dman. I realize the plus and minus value, the pro vs con. If they keep him, they could leave him exposed for expansion draft

I do that deal but 2nd and 3rd instead of 1st recoup our picks from that stupid trade for shaw.

For some reason, I'm having a deja vu moment with visions of last year. Go on a run, fizzle out and somehow end up with the #3 pick again.

I'm surprised to see so much Canes talk here. I moved to Charlotte 4 years ago and started paying attention to them right away. It's awesome to see how far they've come. Such a bright future ahead of them too.

First JJ lost any credibility he may have had when a bunch of us fed him bullpoop rumours and he posted them to this blog as fast as he could all to generate hits never investigating the rumours or my claim that I knew “Bob”. What was funny as hell was that his other “sources” were verifying the bullpoop we fed him. JJ is full of poop, we know it, you know it and JJ knows it.

I have no idea if Tyler’s sources are accurate but he doesn’t tell us over and over his sources give him trade info either. Tyler is actually anvery talented blogger who has the ability to write a different blog to generate real discussion with our resorting to fairy tale trades.

Power enforcer is harmless but his ridiculous, easily to dispute tin foil hat conspiracy theories, are there to be ridiculed.

6628 is knowledgeable and I like what he brings to the blog. No I don’t agree with everything he posts but I’m sure he doesn’t agree with all I post either.

Now we come to Steve Rain, the guy who posted absolutely nothing positive in 2010, 2013 and 2015. Your biggest problem while the hawks were busy winning cups on their way to being the best team of the decade was whine about McD’s marketing, about how the media portrayed the team and how much you detested Patrick Sharp even going as far as making unsubstantiated claims he messed around with certain women and was hated by certain teammates. You obviously know hockey but it’s hard to make a connection with a Hawk fan who got more satisfaction from criticizing three championship teams then showing he was happy they were so successful.

For the record none of D, Elbows, Mohel and myself fully agree on everything. I like Lehner, I don’t mind Smith and I am alone in believing the core should have been traded three years ago and a rebuild started.

I had a friend who built tony o a house and gave John 2 things (exact injuries) they were 100% fact. What truly pisses me off is that johns greatest weakness was his ego like everyone and he didn’t fact check the rumors. Otherwise he would have caught it but you are right...he always wanted to be first and still wants that so he can pound his keyboard stating “reported/said/discussed here at the rink first”.

Ask around around about PATRICK Kane throwing a bar stool at sharp at the pony. That’s why I hate sharp. And it didn’t stop there. Smoke=fire. He’s a professional womanizer. He’s scum.

SteveRain is my alter ego. 2010 was on edge because I knew the blow up was coming. Window was 1 year. 2013 and 2014 and 2015 were rollercoaster rides. To say o didn’t enjoy them is 100% false. I did. I flew off the handle because I didn’t want qs hawks to become Ditkas 80s bears or guillens 05 Sox. 1 and done. Much like what has happened to the cubs. So there’s my reasoning for demanding/expecting greatness.

McDonough. I exchanged emails with Tim Sassone on a bi weekly basis for years. I met McDonough at a season holder skate and he was an elitist jag. Great at what he does but it didn’t and never will resonate with me. If he wants to proclaim “one goal” and you strive for championships then either you take the good/bad with it or you should rightfully change your approach/slogan when you are going through a rebuild imo.

Bottom line. I enjoy talking hockey with you. I enjoy talking it with 99% of the board. I hate the team up bullying and that’s beyond old.

Based on the way it has turned out so far this year with Dach, that wouldn't suck at all.
