There's an American band who wrote a little song about a Hotel in California.

JC said the decision was performance based. Clearly he values what Seeler brings over Boqvist.
- DarthKane

Boquist was terrible last night, thing is, Seeler won't be any better.

A question for the sign Lehner group. Who are you willing to lose to sign him? Cause they will need to lose some salary to fit Lehner and fill out the roster.

Assume both de Haan and Seabrook return next season. Assume Shaw does not.

Go

Smith, Maata, Dinky, Saad in that order.

Lehner trade him to carolina or Colorado because not signing with the hawks. If reports are true he wants 7 to 8 million bye bye. I would only sign him 4 years at 6 million per year otherwise no.
- Scott1977

$7x5 is fair for both sides, $6 is five year old money.

I think it’s too early to give up on Strome.
- DarthKane

A lot later than everyone who wants to give up on Nylander.

Yeah, Boq was bad, REAL bad. Its not a bad thing for him to sit and watch and reflect and to do the impossible, which is try to learn the total contradictions of Colliton's 'system', or whatever wild term can be used to explain what Colliton wants the Dmen to do. Only Superman can be in one place, and in an instant, be in another.

It's eye opening to see that we have Kubalik, Dach, and Nylander in the top ten rookie goal scorers.

I don’t know much about the guy. How does he compare to Lankinen as a prospect?
- Ogilthorpe2

He already is getting most of the PT in NY over Lundqvist. So he is ahead of him. He may be available because the Rangers have another commie they like better.

My post was in reference to a goal he gave up today. Akin to an infielder missing a easy pop fly.

I will use Ben Bishop as a comp. He signed with Dallas for $5 mil. When the cap was at $75 mil. Let’s say next years cap is $84 mil. Which is aggressive, Lehner should get $6 mil. Max as a % of the cap. Bishop’s body of work was greater than Lehner when he was a free agent.

And Kubalik has more than Dach and Nylander put together.

You either want him or you don't... That's fine if you're bidding against yourself. Time will tell he obviously didn't have much interest last year.

Interesting. I've also seen some pining for Nick.

$6 million X 5 years would be a fair deal and easily worth signing (from the Hawks perspective). I think Lehner will want to see what he’ll get on the open market.

TSN reporting he’s been traded to Tampa Bay. Meanwhile... Stan is still sleeping.

Agreed I've always been in his corner. Would be nice if he had a little more Highmore in him.

Islanders offered Lehner 2 x $5, Lehner said he would think about it. Lou said you thought long enough and went out and got Varlamov. I would hate to have to lose let’s say a Saad to accommodate what I would consider an overpay for Lehner because you are afraid he goes FA. Who is going to offer him more? There aren’t a lot of teams that have extra money to throw around.
