Ellis is our Trade Deadline acquisition... You basically parroted what Poile's already said, and that's such a David Poile view to take... Normally it would annoy me, but in this particular case I agree with him. The Preds should *not* be buyers at the deadline. There's no one deal Poile could make that would suddenly take this team from Playoff bubble team to contender, unless the deal is something crazy, so why bother burning resources just to sneak in? That being said, I wouldn't sell just for the sake of selling either. I'm more a fan of standing pat at this point, unless some desperate team calls and is willing to excessively overpay for either Granlund or Smith, might as well hold on to them and see what happens. I'm not interested in other teams late third or fourth round picks.

Sell to a point. If someone wants to overpay for Granlund or Smith, let them. Go find some grit and backbone in the offseason.
