Watching from the outside, it looks like the only thing stopping the Panthers from being solidly in playoff position is decent goaltending.

Any idea what Dale plans to do with Bob if Spencer Knight is as good as expected? Seems like Bob could be expendable in 2-3 years.

Thanks for chiming in. You’re right on one part with Bob’s struggles, but the other major issue is defense. Since the two play off one another, it’s a bad combo.

I think Bob will be really difficult to move, especially in a couple years as you suggested, with that massive contract and in his mid-30’s.

I’m really curious about Knight, too!

Hey Harv,

That was my point. Bob has his struggles this year and a bad defense in from of him and Monty makes for a tougher situation on both goalies. Defense and goaltending are so connected.

Panthers have NO defense. If Ekblad is your best D, you're in trouble.
