Rangers are still a long shot at the playoffs but winning 6 of 7 has them sniffing a lil bit around and if they can work out a deal w Kreider and he stays will def motivate the team even more to go for it, still think they're a good year or 2 away from being real competitors. Conversely if they feel they can't resign him they have to move him and can get hopefully a lot based on this market.

Ek loves linking Lou's former players back to him. Parise is just the latest one. Isles are also acquiring Scott Stevens, Scott Niedermayer, Brian Rafalski, Marty Brodeur, Patrik Elias and Scott Gomez. Billy Guerin may also take a break from his Minny GM duties to join the Isles too. Oh yeah I can't forget Ilya Kovalchuk as well. Lou is STRONGLY considering this. More to come...

pageau is only scoring because he's playing top line and pp on a bad sens team. would teams seriously consider playing him as their 2nd line centre or even their top line centre and expect to contend seriously for a cup? is he even sufficient enough to be a cup winner's 3rd line centre?
