The challenge with Kovy is how will he like playing on the bottom 6.
In MTL he was given more opportunity on the top 2 lines.
Hope he does well, but just get the feeling if he gets placed on the bottom 6, he will be a disappointment

I'm not sure why a great team like Washington with great chemistry would make a move like this. He may score a few goals if you put him in your top 6 and first PP unit like Montreal did, but there is also a substantial risk his resistance to back check and play D may backfire. Washington is at the top of the league in offence already. If anything I would have just added a depth player who could kill penalties. Just my opinion, but this is coming from someone who watched every game he played in LA. |

Great pick up by Washington. The playoffs are long and arduous. Kovy might not even play if everyone is healthy but he's a nice option to slide in should someone get hurt. |
