The athletic is reporting the same. Lehner’s agent said they offered to sign a 3 year extension below market value to stay but received no response from the Hawks.

I'm gonna say its not a bad haul for Lehner, given that it appears the hawks weren't able to match his contact extension demands. Or the two sides have a handshake deal that brings him back. Subban isn't very good even as a backup but is a rfa after this season. So the hawks would get a little something back if they were to let him sign elsewhere. A second round pick is a second round pick.

This trade gets Stan Bowman fired, which in turn gets Colliton fired too. I cannot believe this move was made. Nothing smells like tank now than this. As a lifelong Hawks fan, I am disgusted and disappointed as this puts that Hawks back at least four years.
C'mon Rocky Wirtz, do the right thing and fire them both and wright the ship! Seats are going to become empty and your bottom line is going to suffer if this mismanagement and subpar coaching are allowed to continue.

"below market value" could mean anything if they're pointing to what Bob got from Florida.

Don't let Tyler's blogs fool you; a roster goalie, a pick in the 50-60 range in this draft and D prospect is a very good return for Lehner
