Anthony Travalgia: Bruins lack energy in Nick Ritchie's debut Neither Nick Ritchie nor the rest of the Bruins looked too impressive in Tuesday's loss to the Calgary Flames.

First game with new team - not sure expoectations should be high.

Defense though - very suspect. Did backlund waltz through all 5 skaters to score that goal?

past two games have not been very good, 14 goals allowed. They look lazy out there and this isn't the time of the year for that.

Lol. You know Anthony doesn't make the actual trades or player transactions, right?
Silly arse.

His team is a dumpster-fire. He has nothing else.

First game, I’ve got mixed feelings on Ritchie. He doesn’t look to be a great fit in the top 6. We will see how he fits with Coyle.

Heinen had hands of stone, but did create some problems for other teams at times with his speed, opening up chances or plays.
Bruins are gonna lose that with Ritchie.

Ritchie in and out of the lineup on the 4th line swap with Nordstrom based upon opponent/expected tenor of the game. Kase on 2nd line and keep Bjork/Coyle/Kuhlman together on the 3rd line.

I think this is where they end up landing. Kuraly and Wagner should be locks for the 4th line and then you'll see a rotation of Ritchie, Nordstrom and Lindholm.

Did you pick up Stempniak in anticipation of a classic Donnie depth move?

Those zero points in two games in his second stint with the Bruins didn't do it for you?

Sounds like lines are

Bergy line
Ritchie Krejci Kase
JDB Coyle Bjork
Kuraly Lindholm Wagner

Gotta say, I’m excited to see what that second line looks like

No you don't have mixed feelings, Heinen is gone and you'll just have to accept it, kind of like when we lost Darth Quaider, I'm still not over that LOL They didn't bring Ritchie in to play Top 6, Cassidy is just shaking things up which he always does when they look dead. I say after Jake has 2 good shifts he's back next to Krejci, I'm more interested to see how Kase looks next to Krejci

Based off of Cassidy's comments it sounds like this is more of giving Kase and Ritchie a chance to play with someone they're familiar with.

They skated together for 169 minutes of 5v5 time together this year, generating 9 goals.
