Why don't they call up Cal Foote? I'm sure he's a better option than Coburn at this point.

This game was infuriating to watch but at the end it felt like they should have won. Their lack of effort was apparent for the first two periods. Tampa tried to out finesse Toronto in every situation and it was most apparent on the power play. Speaking of the power play, it has been pitiful. There is way too much passing and not nearly enough shooting. It seems like unless there is a one-timed shot into a wide open net they refuse to shoot.

As Far as defense goes, it is time to cut the rope with Coburn. Over the past 3 games he has been the biggest reason for this losing streak. He can't skate nor handle the puck. I know management doesn't like to bring players up until they are more than ready. But at this point, Coburn is more than disposable. Even if Foote does struggle, can it be any worse than Coburn's production?

Losing a game because of special teams when the refs were calling flimsy penalties doesn't bother me.

Being the better team 5vs5 is more important. Keep playing that playoff hockey! Chemistry with the new additions will come.

Coburn is worrying me....I hope he's still recovering from an injury. Gauce looked better then Coburn. McD, Sergachev and Hedman staying healthy solves our Coburn problems.

Like I said in my last post in the previous thread, this 3-game losing streak was an overdue correction. The Bolts were winning at an insane and unsustainable rate. They were riding high on a PDO wave.

And now we see McD's true value. He's not lighting up the lamp, but he chews up valuable minutes in a responsible and consistent manner. He's our new Stralman and he's more noticeable when he's not there at all. I hope he's back to form by the time the post season rolls around. Once he and Rutta come back, the Bolts blue-line will fall back into place.

Agree about Coburn. He's looking like Girardi Part Two Electric Boogaloo lately.

Coburn has been responsible for 2 of the last 3 losses with his play. He is a great guy met him quite a few times but the game has passed him by. They would be better rolling Bogosian and Shenn over Coburn.

Really need McDonagh and Rutta back, its showing.

No! I don't want to see more Bogo! LOL.

You just know he is going to end up stapled to Hedman the way Johnson is stapled to Letang.

Its still baffling that they didnt use one of their first rounders for a defenseman.

Awful game and terrible coaching by Cooper. That game was winnable.
