I didn't mind Haula as a Cane, but he got into a feud with Brind'amour about ice time and that was the end of it for him. Seems as though he didn't like playing 3rd fiddle to Staal and Aho. The effort just vanished after he was made a healthy scratch because of that spat.

Wallmark you're going to love. He's not big or fast or particularly skilled, but he's gonna give you full effort every shift.

Thanks for the insight as always, BINGO! !

Wild about Haula. I'm really pumped for Wallmark for the exact reasons you mentioned. I read he's a full-effort every shift kind of player. This is something the Cats can use more of.

How has Trocheck looked so far for you guys?

Only one game in but his line was easily the best on in the game.

They put him out there with Niederreiter and Necas for the most part. Used him on everything from the PP to the PK.

He's quick, and he's our only right handed center, so that's a nice boost. Being able to have a guy who's actually an offensive threat out there taking minutes away from Staal will be a huge boost.

Nice. I was thinking the change of scenery would give him a pep/boost.

It’ll be interesting to see how he does going forward.

Indeed. I still don't expect him to be much more than a 55~ point guy though. Those are some ugly injuries to try and come back from.

Cant hurt having Muzzin out. Might not help but it shouldn't hurt. Checked the calendar and IF Muzz is a slow healer he might just be out for the other game as well it'll be very close. Go Panthers! Gotta have it tonight!

Gives you guys great depth at centre though... if Aho goes down at some point, Trocheck can pick up the slack way better than Staal or Haula could.

Man we went to the east final with Greg McKegg as our 3C last year.

This is so much better.

Ya but McKegg can get the puck in deep at least. Trocheck is going to turn it over between the line the top of the circle

Don't forget there is a massive pay difference between the two as well

what in the ever living (frank) are you talking about? McKegg isn't an NHL player.

probably because Trocheck has more points THIS SEASON than McKegg has in his entire career.

He's also younger.

Just saying I fell out of Trocheck favour big time this year. He goes high short side almost every time and he used to hit it but I haven't seen him hit that in forever

We wouldn’t have 70 points in the west, we are too soft

The good thing is is that at worst we split season series with toronto. Obviously we need more than 2 and 2 but living in the land of leafers there could be nothing worse than getting swept by them
