What does the Buzztron predict?

Flyers have the momentum factor, but the Penguins have the revenge factor going since they weren't happy about struggling down the stretch.

Flyers have the home ice factor but the Penguins have the season-series factor.

Flyers have the mascot factor but the Penguins have the Crosby factor.

When its this close the Buzztron gives extra points for the mascot factor. Flyers in 9.

Flyers in 6. Giroux peaks with leadership in the series and Niskanen’s veteran play sparks team.

Penguins were nowhere close to matching Flyers in March time. All is now if, but if there is play-off now, there would be Flyers rolling over Pens in 5 games, They did it in the past with worse teams and Crosby in his prime.
Again teams are not close at the moment. They are comparable as a whole, but not in rivalry play off series facing each other :-D

Leafs wind up winning the cup in what is widely considered the most tainted SC victory in league history. To top it off, the gwg was scored after a blown offside call.

Winning percentage is stupid. In a 2+1 point system, point percentage is the only way to do it. Even if it is win%, your matchups are wrong.

EDM: 0.5211267605633803 (ROW 35)
CGY: 0.5142857142857143
WPG: 0.5211267605633803 (ROW 34)
NAS: 0.5072463768115942
VAN: 0.5217391304347826

Also, COL and STL both have 42 wins but COL has a game in hand (and also have a higher ROW, not that that matters), so they finish first in the Central.

So the Pacific is VGK, EDM, WPG, the Central is COL, STL, and DAL, and the wildcards are VAN and CGY. Nashville isn't even in the playoffs.

East:

What a shock, you took the Flyers
Most of analysis spot on, but no way Carter Hart wins game 7 against that Penguins team in his first ever game 7. If it goes 7, Pens win, Flyers would have to win in 6

The Buzztron has a different formula for winning percentage. For example, Nashville gets in thanks to the young David Poile factor.

Season’s over.
Need to come to accept it.

And by the way...there may be organized sports in the fall...and i do mean MAY...but WITHOUT fans attending.

The virus isn’t just going away over the summer. There will be other waves in autumn and into the winter...

There won’t be 18,000 people packed in an nhl arena (or 8,000 if you're in ottawa or 5,000 in florida or arizona)...that would be insane!!!

But to bring 40 players together and all the team personnel and media and broadcasting crew into an arena this summer is a certain death sentence for some because some of these people are bound to be infected...especially from those who are already infected but are asymptomatic.

Season’s over...just give the cup to philadelphia...we all know they would have won it anyways.

The estimates for hospitalization and death rate have continually been revised down substantially. We also don’t know if some sort of antibody test will be available soon. There’s still a lot of unknown to say with certainty to say at this point to say there won’t be a season again or this fall until the risk factor of this comes into better clarity.

This would definitely be the year for the leafs to win the cup. Forever an asterisk and the drought in everyones eyes would live on. Also a cup parade via Zoom

John Kelly already had and got over the Rona. He can just call all the games and be immune.

If they go back to playing and a player gets the virus then wouldn't everybody he's played with, against, the refs and both teams staffs all have to go into self isolation for 14 days? How's that gonna work?

“ I talked to an NHL source yesterday who was still VERY optimistic about the playoffs... He said he was 90% certain the NHL playoffs would still happen...likely starting in July.”

Sounds pretty committed to me.
