Not sure how. The forwards are basically 100%. Hamilton is controversial but would likely find himself on TC in some capacity had it been held this year. Makar is projection obviously, but the way he's trending you can't say he likely won't find his way onto TC. Crawford...ya, I wouldn't do that, but let's be real, he would probably be their third stringer regardless.

I'd go Kuemper as my goalie for Canada. Better than Crawford the past 2 years, just has been impacted by injuries.

I'd also choose Parayko or Pieteranglo over Makar.

And you'd probably take both for the chemistry.

Can't hate on the Makar pick though.

Crawford pick is pretty out there. Price would get it, then maybe Kuemper if he blows a game.

Holy Cow would Crosby and McDavid be fun to watch on the same line.

I actually would take Crawford over Price too, but only because Price is one of the most overrated goalies in the league. His inconsistency is no less than MAF's (and yes, I would take MAF over Price).

Pretty much, yep.
Forwards are correct. Defense is ok, under certain parameters as you say.
If projecting to select Makar, why wouldn't Hart or Binnington be the goalie under the same guidelines?

I watch a lot of Avs games. Makar is an absolute monster and is just barely scratching the surface.

He’s like Sergei Gonchar with a higher ceiling.

I'm sure that would be impressive as well, but I think the author's logic of having Crosby's more complete and defensively strong game in the middle is sound. Which also lets Connor cheat a little and catch that break away stretch pass.

Arguably the three best and fastest centers in the world as your front line ... ah yeah that works, and would be a blast to watch.

Yeah he has two cup rings and was pivotal in both of them, wouldn't expect you to know what that feels like...
