One would assume they’d call Adams now then
It would have to be one heck of a package
Can’t imagine the AVs would move MacKinnon
So i think it would be tough for them to come up with something that would work

I'd imagine Makar would be a total non-starter for them.

What are you willing to extend Ristolainen for? $42M over 6 years ($7M per), when he would have a LOT of miles (minutes) on him? Would that deal even be enough to get him signed?

There are warning signals all over with Ristolainen, including his looming next deal, the massive amount of minutes he has played, and how much longer his body can hold up (that's been amazing so far).

- kingcong39

I’m not against trading him,
it’s just gotta be a good trade

To answer your question though...
By the time he’s getting his new deal,
i fully expect to see Dahlin & whoever his partner is playing 25min a night
And i think the “2nd pair” that Risto would be on would be playing about 20min, possibly less if we have a good 3rd pair as well (which we could)
I’d also expect to see him off the top PP by then

So with his minutes decreased, & his point totals dropping a bit by not being on the top PP unit...
i don’t think Risto is getting the mega contract that you & Sbroads are predicting

I’m thinking it would be more like 5yrs x 6mil
And maybe that’s still too much for a 2nd pair guy
But i think the decision does come down to what that next contract would be
The Sabres can’t really find that out till after next season when they can start negotiating with him

It’s not the end of the world if we wait until the trade deadline of his UFA season to move him
If his value isn’t worth a top6 guy now,
then I’d probably wait till then to move him
Bc at the deadline,
I bet we’d get a 1st + a good prospect
Defensemen are always in demand then
And a top4 RH shot guy would be even more so

It'd have to take something they most likely would never give. Trading Eichel would be insane.

Omg no way they do that. Rantanen has been a PPG player in his last 3 years and is same age as Eichel.

Makar looks like we hope Dahlin is and Garabauer is good. They laugh at that offer.

Would have to start with Zegras & pick 6
And then some

What would u want from the Ducks?

If i was gonna trade Jack,
I’d need something like BOTH of Ottawa’s top5 picks, AND Brady Tkachuk

That’s probably too much for Ottawa to do though

Yes, I agree. I meant it more as the type of answer I would give when/if the Avs called. Something outrageous just to quickly end the call, lol.

It would take at least 3 Zebras and a monkey for me to consider trading Eichel

Ok, guy with “69” in his name
Go away troll

- jdfitz77

You really get triggered by 69.

77

Having sex where the person is entered from behind while laying in the classic spooning position.

looks like someone has some explaining to do.

77-seventy seven

no doubt your intimately acquainted with 69, well 77 is quite the frisky number as well. the name 77 refers to the way you and your partner's bodies look when they meld together in this side entry position. it's similar to spooning but with a twist. the unique angling practically guides his missile to the females G-spot.
the female lies on her side with the male behind her. you should be facing the same direction. the female wraps her legs around the males top leg. once the male is inside the female stretches out her front legs, while staying connected, both bend at the waist. the woman extending her legs at a 45 degree angel away from the body. "folding over and assuming the 77 position." this changes the angel of penetration creating a direct penile pathway to the front V-wall where the G-spot is located.
"we were 77ing it all last night, and it was amazing"

If Turcotte leaves Wisconsin, he has elite skills, but he is kinda a unknown like Cozens, Cal hasn't really proven anything yet, but is probably a better 1b option than Hutton. If Eichel wasn't so pissed of I would probably do it, but really don't know how much it helps us next year.
- Buff36

Seriously how can you make statements like this based on it just might be. GM’s normally don’t trade prospects unless they have some serious concerns.

You're getting a Turcotte who will be a 2nd line center with a low cap hit to build with Jack, Dylan in the middle Sam is not worth his next contract and cant do anything without jack

Easy trade

- gerbe75pts

If the Sabres decide it’s a rebuild the guy that fetched the most is Eichel. He won’t last in Buffalo waiting for another rebuild

What are u trading pick8 for though?
The problem with that is a guy like Strome isn’t worth that
And the quality of Center who would be is most likely not available

- jdfitz77

I agree on Strome. Trade up to 6, 5 (add a 3rd to ours) or package with Risto, Mitts + and take a stab at a real 2C

What are you talking about, it's a trade that was just talked about, and if it did happen the future would be very bright. But as I said it doesn't help us this year and would probably piss Jack of even more having to wait another year. And LA is loaded with C and what Ion proposed would not kill them, especially with them having a chance at Byfield at 2.

yup. people are butt hurt the 7 worst teams didnt get better odds compared to every other year.
- Mentalorgasm5

No, the odds always suck. Having higher odds to move back than to stay where you are is asinine. This year is especially abominable because a very good team can win the first overall. Any team in the top 16 should not have a chance at the top pick. Just because a good team loses 3 games doesn't mean they deserve a shot at the top pick. And there are upsets every year. It's not out of the realm of possibility that a very good team wins the top pick.

The future may or may not be bright with this trade and if it did happen I’d kiss Eichel good bye. He wants to win now, not when the maybe’s are ready. It won’t happen.
