Trade him to make cap space for Dahlin, Cozens, our 2 goalies, Oloffson, Joker, our pick this year, Mitts if he ever pans out, ect.
I’d Go to arbitration with him and let him get awarded a 1 or 2 year buy us some time

And then you'd be fired for asset mismanagement.

If it weren’t for the Sens having two top 5 picks, the “play-in” lotto odds would have been the highest in the NHL.

Sure the team E had a 2.5% chance but if you add up the odds of the 8-15 slot of teams in the play in round you can see the bigger picture.

Then on top of that those same said 8-15 teams now each have a 12.5% chance of winning the lotto.

I don’t know why anyone is surprised this was the outcome. Just have to add up percentages.

- Pegullaville

A singular play-in round losing team had a 12.5% chance of 25% chance; so a 3.1% chance

Yes sir. But that 25% chance of requiring a 2nd lotto was pretty high and very likely outcome.

Agreed.
I had set my expectations for Sabres at 8th...maybe 9th in recognition of the outcome we saw.
The butthurt from people is
A) it's the 1OA
B) a non deserving team could win it, like Pittsburgh.
It's all wasted energy IMO.

Organizations tank, players don’t.

I can’t see how a player would sit there with a chance at a cup and purposefully lose.

An organization can put a team out there full of crappy players with the intent of losing though.

The 8th pick is a strong position for the Sabres, as it guarantees at least 2 quality players being available at that pick, if not more if one or more teams above them go 'off the board'.

Can't wait for that pick to be ready in 2-4 years.

Cozens will be in our lineup this year (COVID permitting)

I would expect the same 1 year development for anyone we select this year as well.

Raymond or rossi please. I saw 2 mocks from yesterday, one had us taking Raymond, the other Rossi. I’m hoping.

Just give a rookie a shot or trade for a guy that can be successful anywhere..

I dont want to give Sam a max contract and if jack leaves we're more screwed

They can't make any other moves at all that will be impactful, such as making trades, that don't include the 8th overall?

Depending who's available the 2 players im thinking about would start right away

You could slot both with Jack if needed

Rossi could be, Raymond no.

Only guys I see playing in the NHL next year would be Lafreniere, Rossi, Byfield.

Oh so like everything the Sabres have tried before.

Jack finally has a winger who he plays well with and can put up damn near 70 points.

Sign him to a 7 year 45 Mil deal and be done with it.

I think Drysdale and Sanderson are gonna go in the top 7, I think Rossi or Holtz with a outside chance Raymond is there, with that I think Rossi will be a Buffalo Sabre
