Is that the same player you tried to fraudulently not include in the team salary cap because of a boo boo on his skin? What was it? Crotch rot???

Many many teams used the loophole, and player just was quoted he wished he could have continued but between taking the meds for it and the skin, he simply couldn’t.
No class that you are still a crybaby about Kaner’s puck going in and that your team and their big boy Pronger got turned into little boys....
Your team is on the upswing and I enjoy watching them, and all of us here know the anguish and jealousy rooting for a bad nhl team, but things will turn around, you don’t need to whine for your upcoming successes... |

Erat's backhand pass, facing the boards, onto Kane's stick is what ended that series.
then it was offsides during PK's goal in game 6 that ended it.
people way underestimate luck in this sport - farooge

Look...I get that you’re butthurt cuz your loser ass franchise hasn’t won a championship in half a century, but that doesn’t give u an excuse to troll a thread dedicated to classy legend like Hossa. Instead why don’t u go find a bridge to jump off of and put an end to your misery... |

Seems I remember a team who had a defenseman with a $5 mil cap hit until 42, that went on LTIR for the last 5 years of it, that took a job in the NHL front office at the same time he was supposedly on LTIR, instead of retired, where his cap hit could not be buried.

No Hossa, No Cups.
Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard. Well, Hossa had more talent and work ethic than anybody else on the ice, which made him an unstoppable force of hockey dominance.
Greatest Free Agent Signing in Chicago History and hopefully the future Head Coach of the Blackhawks. When they lost Hossa, they lost the competitiveness he made everyone else on the team match. The team has never been the same since he retired, but I look forward to Lafrieniere and Dach leading the Hawks to a "Roaring 20s Rebirth".

Hossa wore #18 as a Senator, Thrasher, and Penguin but switched to #81 as a Red Wing and Blackhawk. Not sure what significance #18 has for him but guessing #81 was simply switching of the digits given #18 was retired in Chicago and was taken already by Maltby in Detroit. |

Minor league signing: Hogs signed forward Mitchell Fossier to an AHL contract. Fossier plays LW and just finished his 4th year at the University of Maine where he wore the A last season and was captain this season.
That's the 3rd signing of the sort with D.J. Busdeker (RW/D) and Riley McKay (LW) as the others.
Of the 3, Busdeker has the most intrigue. Excellent defense, tenacity, endless motor, and electrifying skill. Played 4 years of juniors at Saginaw.
McKay was Dach's teammate at Saskatoon. Tough customer. |

Hey thanks for the update Fox and super job covering for Tyler . D.J interesting he listed for D also any chance that's were he ends up .
Remember hearing about McKay back when he was in Jr. that he was a real tough customer any chance he ever makes it to the show .Be nice to have a guy that could win a few fights for a change . Is it just me but have the HAWKS had tough guys but they don't win a lot of fights . Like Manson was a monster Probert goes without saying Maggs I member he was a scrappy guy like Shaw .Scott was well a beast kind of ,Big Al was a tough and score . Grimm Reaper . Who is the HAWKS best ever fighter |

It's too early to say whether Busdeker will be groomed as a winger or defenseman. My guess is he starts out at forward unless the organization is hurting for a blueliner who will focus on locking it down defensively.
I think Busdeker would have most impact as an energy grinder like Highmore, Hagel, Soderlund, etc. He could easily be a career minor leaguer but he could also impress and rise up the depth chart.
As for McKay, I really can't see him earning an NHL cup of coffee. He's not that talented enough to warrant a spot. Being a fighter isn't enough in today's NHL.
If McKay is called up, then that could signal a lack of depth at forward due to injuries or prospects just not panning out. |

Out of curiosity I compared the Winterhawks to the Blackhawks
Immediately the emblem or team.moniker strikes one as nearly identical and actually Google search spelled out this (with too).
I saw on the search too that.there is a long list of Winterhawks who have skated on NHL ponds.
Now switching gears somewhat....what about this Rogula skating in camp fresh from juniors. Good size, scored a lot of pp goals, was it 27 tallies this season. I know wiz does lnot like to give comparisons because they are usually not 100% accurate. But Rogula sounds like a Bufuglien. If he makes the parent roster and he scores on a Wednesday, then we get free pasta because we will look to eat pasta on pasta Wednesday. |

Hossa was a man among men.
Hossa on the backcheck was a thing of beauty. Smart coaches show video of Hossa on the backcheck if they're smart.

Gotta be careful with that one Enzo. There are several great players who became average at best coaches (hello Gretzky) because they couldn't get their players to do the same things they once did. I'm not saying its a bad idea, but if that is the route for him to go, he would need to show his ability to do so first.

Watching Hossa was a pleasure every game. It would be hard to watch a game where a knowledgeable hockey fan would not notice something special that Hossa did either on or off the puck. Positioning, back checking, passing, defending, seeing the ice, knowing what his teammate or his opponent was going to do before they did, shooting, winning a board battle, being strong on the puck and on the boards.
Also his scoring decreased with the Hawks. But so did his time on the PP. 2007/8 he played over 4 minutes per game on the PP. 2016/17 he only played 1:44 on the PP. If he had played more time on the PP his offensive numbers might have been much better with the Hawks. |

The prospect of watching him was a big draw for me on Center Ice ... kinda like watching Mark Stone is for me these days .. but he's a poor man's Hossa so far (with potential!).
