the electronic version was pretty neat, but you had to use a booklet for different positioning strategies, you couldn't just place your boats any way you like, so that kinda sucked... on the bright side cheating was basically impossible lol

I don't know what you find suspicious about that. They need a clear first line center and an elite puck moving left handed D. They're passable on the wings.

I think saying Lafrenière wouldn't fill all of the habs' needs is kind of beside the point

a team missing the playoffs 4 times out of 5 needs a lot more than 2 players to become credible.
they badly need skills and size up front so yes to Lafreniere even if he's a winger. I'd take 2 Lafreniere tbh.
then they can add a 1C and a top LD.

I was able to trade my vintage Battleship game for an eightball on Craig's list

They've suggested October potentially for the draft, so I'd imagine a week or two after that

Don't get wrong, I'd be happy to get Lafreniere as I trust that he's the best player in the draft. That said you make acquiring a #1D and 1C sound very trivial. Do you really believe this team would still be mediocre if they had a center like MacKinnon and a defenseman like Hedman added in?

Getting Lafreniere is not the question, it's a matter of whether Habs brass end up not developing him properly and he ends up like another AG27
