Ok...still doesn't change the point that if they can't provide a safe environment, they'll have to shut it down. And it wouldn't be surprising to see players opt out if the numbers start going up. At some point health is more important than money. At least I would hope it would be.

Anaheim, Carolina, San Jose, Minnesota, Nashville, Calgary and Vancouver have never picked 1st overall.

Vancouver has been in since 1970, Calgary since 1972 and Carolina since 1979. All longer times without a 1st overall than the Habs.

Seriously I see your point about players wishing to locate in a more tax freindly place, such as Florida and some of the other southern states that have lower taxes. And the NHLPA wishing to lower the escrow greatly........ We all like to keep more of the money we earn.
