Parise & Suter are not going away easily. Wild cap mess is not any different than many teams other than albatross contracts are a big problem.

Yeah, BG has got a huge decision now.

I know I am biased with my idea, but that's why I am a fan and not the GM. But I would just sign KK (if he is good with it) to the 2 year contract now and burn that first year. Kaprizov can then get his work visa and head over here to the States and start get acclimated. Then he should be ready and the Wild will have a better idea of what they have and who he should be playing with for the 20-21 season.

And with KK, the Wild have an increasing glut of LWs. You figure Fiala will eventually be moved back to that side. So, you have Parise, Fiala, Kaprizov, Foligno, Greenway and Donato. Time to package some of those and some prospects to get that #1 right handed C. What would it take to get someone like Mika Zibanejad from the Rangers? Guessing the Wild don't have enough to do that, but that is an idea of where they need to start.

I think it's absolutely asinine that they can sign him but he can't play... with that being said, i think Bill has to sign him, end of story... I think this organization one way or another needs to start preparing to restructure and build around this kid.

As far as the whole cap recapture dilemma, Wild caught a major break there with the Parise/Suter deals...

I don't want to rehash that tired old argument, because if the Wild had a cup or 2 under their belts now nobody would be 2nd guessing Chucky's willingness to sell the farm for those 2 guys... Unfortunately that move has not paid off as far as cups go, but did breed success as far as post season appearances are concerned.
