I'll be in OBX that week. That's either good or bad. If I walk into our place and the wi-fi doesn't work or is at 2002 speed, I'm not gonna be happy. |

Rykov and a 2nd rd pk came over from NJ in the Grabner deal (Hajek was in the TB deal). But your point is definitely understood. I had higher hopes for Rykov than this too. At least that 2nd was used to move up to get K’Andre Miller so the trade wasn’t a total flop yet |

The McD/Miller deal was a complete bust. Hajek Howden Namestnikov (which we flipped for a 4th). The jury is still out on the 1st (Nils Lundqvist) and 2nd (Karl Henriksson). The only hope in that deal is Nils turns into a stud. |

I don’t think it’s a bust yet. Howden is a cheap bottom 6 member to this team going forward, Hajek showed promise prior to the injury. Once players like Staal and smith are off the books, he will have more of a chance again. Lundqvist is one of the teams top prospects. Also cleared a lot of money off the books. |

Wasn’t Rykov obtained from the Devils for Grabner? Probably a typo from Jan |

Agreed. To early to determine. This guy hates Howden, Nam and loves Miller. He’ll always hate the trade |

Nah. Won’t get to many guys opting out. His baby has respiratory issues |

The great Namestnikov we traded for a 4th. Howden is a bottom 6 guy and Miller turned into the PPG player I’ve always said he was if we would’ve given him the opportunity to do. |

All, completely my screw up in the blog. Have fixed it. Should have been Hajek and not Rykov. Apologies. Will make sure to be accurate in the future. |

Not sure it worked out great for TB either. Went out in 1st round last year. Miller is gone and MCD contract has made it impossible to sign Sergachev, Cirelli and fill out rest of roster next year without trading more core pieces. |
