Good one, and true.

Just fyi, listening to NHL radio they had a broadcast team guy on, saying they'd be calling the game off of monitors. American network if I recall, not sure which one.

From the last blog, doesnt matter what corrupt government says.
Use common sense.
If the corrupt government tells 20 year olds or anyone to jump off a cliff into a canyon, should they blindly do it?
No.

It’s round robin results with ties going to team with more regular season points.

The NHL does a great job of devaluing the regular season

I’m guessing they go for the win. I feel like the league should’ve figured out a way to have the teams with better regular seasons have to lose more games or something to drop a spot. I would’ve felt that way even if the Bruins weren’t the President’s Trophy winner.

Fluto Shinazawa (sp?) did an article on this. It was an interesting read. There will be plenty of challenges.

I get all that and understand the levels of stupidity involved. Although if the government told 20 year olds there was a naked chick at the bottom of that cliff, it’s lemming city.

I guess I’m just more accepting of the fact that there’s a high level of stupidity and general ignorance. I can’t blame someone for being stupid. It’s pretty much the deck you’re born with.

And it’s government’s responsibility to set the rules for the stupid as well the others that are too lazy to pay attention and others are like you described that too self centred to care. If they were all just (frank)ing themselves, we could sit here and laugh but government owns this.

That’s especially the case when the consequences are being so widely felt.

Anyway, in my view this is entirely on those governors that had the information and said (frank) it and went ahead aanyway. They have blood on their hands.

These guys say re-seeding good for Bruins because it gets you out of tougher first round opponent (us) and gives you better chance of easier rounds against NYI, NYR or NYR.

Good analysis cause it says Leafs better than those other teams.

No one is forcing anyone to leave their home. You can pretty much not leave home at all. Work remotely, get grocery delivery, etc etc only time I leave home is for groceries where I wear a mask, or go for a run in the empty sidewalks/ park around my place.

Agree with wearing masks. Agree with people caring about each other enough to wear a peice of cloth over their face.

But I don't agree with blaming politicians for deaths that they did not directly cause.

They have directly resulted in this thing being worse than it should have been. They deserve all the blame they are getting.

They told people not to wear Masks. They downplayed the severity. They've done a terrible job managing this, and you can look at other counties and what they did/didn't do and see the results of their actions.

Congrats. Do you work in a meat packing plant? Do you have someone in the house working in a hospital that doesn’t have enough PPE? Cool that you can afford to shop someplace that has an online option and that you have parks where there is room to be isolated when you run.

There are pretty clear economic, social and racial demarcations between who is getting sick and who isn’t. Take a look at the lists of essential workers and who they are and how much they make,

They pretty much are being forced to leave their homes.

They opened bars and restaurants when infection rates were still high and told people they didn’t have to wear masks. They had the information that ordinary people didn’t have but they wanted to suck up to Trump or be heroic economy openers.

Have government tell a 20 year old he can go to a bar and get drunk and that he doesn’t have to wear a mask and then it’s his fault?

It was predictable that the US would be the hardest hit country from the virus, because they have a culture of individuality and freedom.

Americans aren't going to do what their politicians tell them. They never have.

I will agree the bolded makes no sense. Although I believe the WHO as well as Canadian medical officials were also inexplicably saying not to wear masks in March.

Well no...The bar and restaurant owners did that, the government just didn't stop them. And the patrons went there of their own free will.

I'm fine with politicians taking action to slow the virus. I just don't agree with directly blaming them for a virus they did not cause.

you have to understand that Mr. Che Guevara Canada Cup like all communists want the masses' votes - but then at the same time think that same people that vote for them cannot think for themselves, and are victims that need 'help' by the great left minds.

I don't know man, a lot of Americans seem to have a culture of swallowing whatever their party's leader spews out, even if he says 2 + 2 = 5. I see a culture of blind, negative partisanship more than individuality there these days. It's sad. If there were way more independent voters that would be great. We could use more independents in Canada too.

Long beach has 5400 covid infections out of population of 520,000

LA county has 130K out of 13 Million

Ca has 7K deaths out of 40 Million people..

That's all at 1 % or under ... And Gruesome Newsom wants to wreck the 5th biggest economy in the World over that.. Come on people..

Yes Covid is dangerous .. what virus isn't... lets have a little perspective please.

With smart procedures in place we can play hockey... Lets go...

The numbers are much lower than they would be because of procedures in place.
