I am glad the Kaprizov has been signed. Yes, this is probably going to cost the Wild quite a bit in a year or so, but I really believe it's going to be worth it. The Wild are starting to put things together now, so hopefully in 4-5 year down the road, there is a Stanley Cup Championship coming to Minnesota. I am really starting to like BG more and more each day. It's not like he has made drastic changes so far, but it's some of the quiet, low key moves that he is making. Not that signing KK is low key, far from it...or giving Evason the reins to the team. BG just appears to be making good moves so far.
But as all Minnesota fans know and dread, just waiting for the big screw-up to happen.
So....a question to see what people are thinking before the "playoffs" start.
Is this the swan song for Mikko Koivu?
My answer is yes. I have been a Koivu backer forever, I have always loved his game. And I am betting that we are going to see a small step back in time with Mikko at least for the Vancouver series. I am hoping we get to see "Angry Koivu" just a couple more times. But I also believe that this is going to be it for him. I would just like to see him going out in style and the complete game we have seen so much of in past seasons.
