No fans in statiums I'm sure.
Killer Adolf Como will prohibit it.
I have serious doubts the NFL will get 6 games in before it blows up. - IonSabres
Funny you say 6 games. I was talking to my brother the other day and he said this is the bills year. I told him buffaluck they start 6-0 and then season cancelled.
I was looking at that list and saw Grier with 5 goals. I was thinking that had to be about all of them. And it was he only had 7 that season. I don’t recall him playing with drury that much I almost thought those were all SHG but he didn’t have any that season

He was a good digger and hard worker in the corners. Great leadership. Could use him right now
He’s a really good player we should’ve been building around
I don’t even know how that’s arguable at this point??
Trading him cost Botts his job,
as O’Reilly certainly hasn’t been as “easily replaceable” as many on here claimed he’d be - jdfitz77
Maybe we pay Skinner 8mil instead,
but he was gonna still get $$$
Difference is that he likely wouldn’t have had such a dip on production with ROR still here
I was VERY vocal about how bad that trade was
Can’t believe there’s still some here that are like “wait & see”
I do think Botts was forced to trade him though
Which is where a team pres could’ve stepped in & told the Pegulas it was a bad idea,
but we’re well past that now
Either Cozens &/or Mitts develop into the players we thought they could be...
Or it’s another rebuild
What was wrong with them playing in buffalo?
Seemed like a logical place for them - jdfitz77
From a logistical standpoint, the lights do not meet MLB standards. It would cost a lot of money to upgrade them, and it might not even be doable in time for their games.
The other issue is that the players told management that they wanted to play in an MLB ballpark if at all possible, and the team told the players they would try to accommodate that request if at all possible. I don't know what the facilities are like in Sahlen's Field, but I suspect they're nowhere near as nice as what MLB parks have to offer.
Buffalo is still their worst case scenario, though, because they're understandably afraid of playing at their spring training facility since it is in Florida.

Good dude in my experience
I got to know a handful of guys from that era quite well - jdfitz77
He doesn’t have the longevity of guys like Pommer, Miller and Vanek, because he was in a small role early on and then pretty much done here by end of 2011, but he was a tiny notch below those guys during his prime

I agree. He was a great player. His IQ was amazing. He was as slow as dirt but always in the right place. Defensively he was a wizard. If he had 1/5 of camels hand that dude would have been out of this world

If that core of like 6 guys could have put a solid healthy season/playoffs together they were good. Could have made some deep runs. But tc, Roy, vanek and a few d could never stay healthy
