Yes there is, but with the drop in the cap next, supposedly only have about 16 to 20mill in space with a few guys coming up in FA Milano, Dawkins and a few others. Gonna be tight the next few years.

- IndianaSabresFan

if there is no ahl wonder how they are going to handle the kids, extra spots with big club?

they have to do something for injuries

habs are in an interesting position

they could try to get 2 or 3 guys on a short term and make a run

or they could blow it up and ship out 4 or 5 decent players

It’s all gonna be interesting. I really have no clue what they will do with non nhl players. Minor leagues can’t go until there are fans. Even then I think it will be rough with reluctance to go out.

I'm not sure he swings that way.
But, hey - it's 2020; who knows and I don't judge...
Give it a go!

Best idea yet. Not sure if it’s a “lean” plan...

But...

Jack
Domi
Cozens/mojo/Kahun
Lazer Larry

Down the middle, I don’t mind that at all!

The question is, what’s the cost to acquire Domi?

He would cost a ton in terms of assets being sent to the Wild and the next deal he's going to get as he only has one year left on his current deal.

The only reason there in cap trouble is the pandemic, he built a solid foundation there.

If the cap went up like it usually does they would have about 12 to 14mill. Not a whole lot but enough.

Price is 32 and under contract for 6 years at $10.5m and the last 3 seasons has posted an average of .909.
I'd stay away, especially with Skinner at $9m for 7 years and Okposo at $6m for 3 more....those could turn out to be death sentences.

I'd be ok just focusing on Domi, but what happened to him...he fell off this year from a great last season. Change of linemates?

$12M to $14M? How?

They have $1.5M now. If the cap went up like normal, they'd have maybe $4M to $6M instead and still have a problem trying to sign Hall. Granted, Hossa's $5M+ of LTIR gives them a buffer.

Yes with his type 2, but not all the way to the 4th line. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Yeah I don’t want anything to do with price. I’d focus on Domi. Not sure what happened this year but he’d fit perfectly on the second line.

Well with Hossa they have about 7mill according to a there web site with the LTIR, and if the cap went up to 88mill like some were predicting that's 12 to 14mill depending on bonuses.

Pretty sure the $88M number was a myth and $84M-$85M was the reality.

Yes, that would give them around $9M or so when adding in the Hossa nonsense.
