You even know this isn’t accurate

Krueger himself has said that Skinner is one of the only other guys who can drive scoring away from Eichel and that’s why he wants them on separate lines.

- sbroads24

I could see a third line of olofsson-asplund and tage this fall/winter if they go on the cheap

bump olofsson to first line pp like kotalik

That's flat out wrong about Miller not looking good in Ralph's system, as he did the 2nd part of the season.

Ristolainen is the other player in addition to Montour that didn't look good.

It was even worse when they were paired together.

Both should be traded to allocate that money towards the forwards.

- kingcong39

I disagree- look at Risto’s stats last year vs previous years- he went from like a -1000 +\- player to basically zero and put up decent points despite having his PT time slashed and his PP lessened significantly. Ralph benched miller for much of the first half and did look good on the 2nd half but ralph said he was slow to pick up Th e system. Not a ringing endorsement

Olofsson who just scored 20goals in his 54gams rookie season will be “in & out of the lineup”
while u have Tage in his LW spot with 10goals in 107games

Makes tons of sense

Kids... this is why you don’t smoke crack

Oh and by the way I don’t smoke crack but I love to dent a bottle of scotch here and there. Correction then. Hey kids. Lay off the scotch

I didn't hear the Hawks, just the 3 teams I mentioned.
- SABRES 89

Teams in the playoffs aren’t inquiring about a trade for Montour next year.
They have bigger concerns right now. Detroit would make sense though

and you have to add the 15 percent buffalo tax to keep decent players

because we suck

- homiedclown

Maybe more
I think it’s gonna be really hard for Adams to bring in any good UFAs

Let’s see your lineup I’m sure it will be flawless
- Camel

Well that’s kind of impossible without making a major addition or 2

But it’s completely reasonable to call into question taking Olofsson out of the lineup
He was a rookie of the year candidate before he got hurt
And when your team needs to score goals, you don’t pull out one of the best goal scorers we have

Replacing him with Tage, who has SUCKED in the nhl to this point, was the cherry on top of the sundae

I thought the rest of your lineup was reasonable for the players you used

Two wrongs don’t make a right.

Drafting well allows a team to make more sensible decisions at the professional level (Unless your Jim Benning and create a cap crisis by signing an abundance of bottom 6 forwards and Tyler Myers).

Overpaying forwards to play here just adds another wound on top of everything else.

UFA should be used to supplement the core, apart from Panarin I can’t think of many high ticket free agents that actually worked.

The Sabres need to make savvy trades and hit on this years pick and use free agency to provide depth. For as much flak as Mojo gets he’s probably one of the best free agent signings this teams had in years. He can provide 35-40 points in a middle 6 role and he’s off the books next year. Give me 3 more of those.

I am not upset we traded for him

I am upset how a soccer czar used him

- homiedclown

I thought your 1st post contradicted that bc i seemed upset we didn’t have that 3rd any more to be able to do an offersheet

And I’m not saying Vesey sucks
But Ralph couldn’t play him that much unless he was on the wing with Larsson instead of Girgs
I think the icetime u wanted was unrealistic for the situation we were in

- Pegullaville

you can't do that though when in one breath the owner says build through the draft

and 12 months later says you better win now

then one year later, fire the gm, hire another gm and agree to build all three levels (echl, ahl, nhl)

then whack him when you tell him after a year you need to improve and win now, we got dahlin and change direction

you need a 3 and 5 year plan and stick to it

that can't happen with these owners

How is he expected to carry his line?
He usually plays with Crosby, is he on line3 now?
I haven’t been watching tonight very closely

I would agree with you if Olofsson scored 20 goals playing without Jack. Like Skinner his value is inflated based on Jack time and pp time. That’s why I don’t see him starting there with Jack next year. Time to fly on his own and it won’t be pretty
