By all reports Talbot has been the steadier of the 2 in camp so far.
JG has been flying too so lets hope when full contact starts tonight he can continue to find the same time and space to do what he does best.
GFG cant wait! |

Feels so good to know NHL hockey is back on even with no fans in the rinks it should be fun to watch.
I can't wait to see Benny's playoff push. He was one of the only ones that pushed to another gear in last year's playoffs. I really like the idea of him with Lucic and Dube. I think with Rinaldo on the roster too it helps that 3rd line so they do not have to do all the heavy hitting.
Should be fun to watch anyway.

I don't understand how anyone could say Rittich should be the starter. From January 1st on, Rittich was one of the worst goalies in the league and Talbot basically had identical numbers to Hellebuyck (I know he played half as many games). Who cares if Rittich will statistically let in one fewer high danger chance in a series when he'll also let in way more bad goals.
Sure, they haven't played in 4 months and nothing that happened last year really matters, but there's no logical, analytical, touchy feely argument why you'd pick Rittich. Just go with whoever had a better camp. |

And the third time?
The injury thing has always sound made up, just like Monahan. They clinched in November last year. If they were playing like poo because they were injured, why didn't they let them heal? |

Would like to see Bennett on the third line with Lucic and Dube. Place Ryan on the fourth with Janko and Reider/Rinaldo/Robbinson. We got to have at at least 3 capable lines come Saturday.
Anyway glad to be back everybody! |

Flames are playing better in front of Ritter. That might be because they are down as well. It’s going to be a tough decision on who gets the net on Saturday. |

Unless the Oilers decided to waste their only practice game practicing sitting on a lead, I feel much better as a Flames' fan going into the play-in round than an Oilers fan. They were borderline dominant once they woke up.
The Oilers did their best to try and not help the Flames figure out their goalie situation. The first goal on Rittich was a fluke and whatever, but to immediately let in another should give Talbot game one. |
